david,

whats the brand name for cleaner? can i get it at any known hardware shop or its only at TU? i do need them, as all 4 of the cars collected small debris into the roller & the chassis. temporary solution, i've sunk all the aluminium rollers into zippo fluid, as per yr advice too.

if theres a better & quicker way of cleaning the cars, kindly advice.

thank you in advance.

cheers.
*
not really a faster way depends how clean u want it thats all
u can buy other cleaner but make sure it will not hurt the plastic

QUOTE(Angel86 @ Jun 2 2009, 10:40 PM)
I know its your duty to observe who are following/breaking the rules when they are using the track there. I dont see how a person can respect tamiya.I assumed that by using tamiya original parts, you'd only get the best experience when you are playing mini 4wd rather than using other brands. Moreover not everyone can fork the quantity of money to play this.Playing tamiya 'the proper way' in your definition means using all original tamiya parts to play and if you use other brand means its 'not proper/wrong'.
What i think is you should be more sporty and try to educate customers/people who use the track to obtain Tamiya parts and show/explain to them the advantages of using the original parts rather than to just shoo them away. This will make people have more interest and will be more willing to save and obtain the Tamiya parts because they know its not really about the money if they are concerned about performance than rather than using non-tamiya ones.
The tone you are implying here is like if you dont buy at my shop then you can GTFO and not use my track. I know its common to have an attitude like that because i've worked in the sales line for quite a long time and most of the people are like that. Be nice and i bet you will have more and more people coming to play Tamiya and getting the original parts, thus enhancing your sales/profits.
*
hahah the main thing is i dont care about profit so i can say what i want to say
if i want profit i will beg anyone to play and dont care what they play
well if u sit at the shop every weekend u will feel me some guys just come over the track and really make a fool of them self.
there are some regulars that use other brands at first but they are changing to tamiya i did not tell then off but there are some who really dont listen and think the track is thier fathers track.
even i myself had played audley before 3 months to be exact i buy all original audley parts to play at the audley track i even bring my own personal track to make it bigger and i never say tamiya good in front the others i just help them to improve their cars.
about the proper word.u open mamak people buy roti canai from other mamak eat in your place just ask for ais kosong i dont think that is proper and respect to u as an example which is the stuffs that are what i see most of the time.
i dont care where u buy as long as tamiya product all the guys know that.
about educating u can ask the guys here i teach or not.
long time ago when i was racing the better guys will not let u know what to do and what to use.
yeah and if there is no people playing i still get the same pay with less things to do especially after all had left all the rubbish left there is crazy they dont evan think of throwing the rubbish in the bin.no people play no rubbish less cleaning.
1 last thing we dont charge any amount of money to use the track.

i hope u are happy with my words if not just come over look for me
talk face to face easier to understand

Im not offended and neither not happy(erm,i dont have anything to be happy about as i dont own one yet  wink.gif ).
Anyway,I still dont get what you are saying? You mean you allow people to use the track regardless of what car/parts they use unless they do something which is against the rules such as vandalism, making noises, throwing rubbish etc?If it is then i may have judged you wrongly.
Please enlighten.

QUOTE(h1dz1r @ Jun 2 2009, 11:57 PM)
hi guys,

cant say that i'd miss these last 2-3 posting. personally, i'd respect the rules & regulation at any client & customers place. we'v to adhere their simple rules, even when we visited our friends' or foes' place. they also imply simple unwritten rules to their visitors. even though we do not realise it, most often we would imply to their simple rules i.e left our shoes at their doorways or steps, we'll ask whether we can smoke, we dont simply take anything from their fridge and so forth, we dont throw our cigarette butt on their carpets, we dont roam into their rooms when we wanted to pee, instead we'll ask for direction to the rest room.

i'm never a regular nor am i tamiyas diehard, but ever since i've been trying out my old cars at TU recently, i'll make sure its a tamiyas. its a simple rules of thumb, stargek main products is tamiya, the shop had tamiya logo all around. they specialise in tamiya products. so cant we at least speak their lingo? talk & play tamiya. after all, why cant we in this small community agree on something simple? play & have fun with our tamiya toys at the tamiya track?

am sorry if i step on anybody toes, this is my personal opinion. i do hope we can agree on this simple tags ORIGINAL TAMIYA CARS AND PARTS ONLY.

have fun guys, and i'm looking forward to this coming sunday the 7th.

I did not offend you so be polite. You are the one not understanding here.
You twist and turn other's words and understood it in your own terms. You say this and that and still come back to square one which is profit.
*
this is the last i will say
i only work there , profit doesnt affect me more sales i dont get extra pay
u are the one who wants to understand what u want to understand
so please dont waste your precious time entertaining me
even u come i dont know how u look like so do what u like
yeah i am a tarak sekolah guy so what u think u so good let it be

the end

Haha, when I was young, I'm those Siao Kia at that time, but not break ppl track, is just use those metal thing on mini 4wd and play it very crazy, on that time we call those car as "samurai", why call like that? I don't know, that time I still young, 13~15 years old just follow ppl play like that, that time less tamiya item at my area, if want get just go to petaling street get, else all is "samurai" part around my area.....

After my area less mini4wd, then I stop to play, that time I go to 1 of my friends house, he just pure play in tamiya mini 4wd, ( got big foot car also biggrin.gif ) then I only know "the other way" to play mini 4wd, my friend teach me play in tamiya mode, although is slower than "samurai", but is more challenging, because of tech track setting, ( ppl play in "samurai" also just a speed track + 360ºc track changer, won't appear tech track setting 1, if not will see around flying "samurai" there ).

Tamiya mini 4wd pro item expensive? Ya is very expensive to other brand but if you count in own tamiya's mini 4wd item.... I think car is expensive but those accessory still same price....I remember last time get 1 Hyper dash need rm20+-, car model also rm20+-, bumper with special thing also around rm20+-.....But last time rm20 and now rm20 is very big different biggrin.gif.

Haha here is my little experience on mini 4wd biggrin.gif
*
when i was active in racing there are few places to race different types of mini4wd.
ioi mall speed 3 wheel
sunway piramid technical
summit usj technical and super tamiya
pearl point technical and super tamiya
the mines technical

Hey,wat i say is the ms pro's motor axe(THE thing with 2 shaft)on a plasma dash(the fastest motor for tamiya)so it maybe be faster. If anything wrong, juz forgiv me.If TU didi not like this kind of thing,i will respect it.Wat u all should kno is this is a forum,every1 can giv their opinion, but not laugh or criticise(maybe wrong spelling) other's opinion.
Talk other.
While i heard sunway pyramid's toycity,i gonna to cry because the track broken my 1st tamiya(cyclone magnum trf) in 2006.But my father bought me a hurricane sonic gold plated.(That time no ms pro)
*
fyi the first ms pro is released in december 2005 and i got mine that same month in malaysia

well i lough becouse there is people doing this kind of funny things at the track put plasma slower then ms pro motor
the most funny is a guy with a stock vs put dono what motor i think is those 100 ringgit killer motor 800000 rpm with rechargeable batt let it run in the track fly out then chase the car and sometimes hit other peoples car for me he is really making a fool of himself he is more than 21 years old
we all lough at him would u if u see it

nice cars u have there

as i always say to the guys the most powerful motor does not mean u have the fastest car if your car is no modified properly
hope u would understand

yes i have the green gear today, should be the super speed 3.5:1, and the blue gear i applied previous day, should be the 4:1 gear.

so happy to have this special gear.

hope that the car can improve 10% much more speed after apply the new gear ratio....i think the atomic-tuned motor is capable to provide adequate power for this ratio.  hmm.gif

what do you think?

Added on June 3, 2009, 5:46 pm"6. Spraying of any kind of oil or cleaner to the car , motor , bearing or tyres are all prohibited." regarding this rule:

which mean spraying at the time when the race started, or spraying when preparation is allowed? or totally no spraying is allowed.

should this mean we should run the car with those parts with package condition?

or the rules is just to protect the track and prevent it cause the track oily and cause unfair factors to other races.

this' to ensure i comply with the rules, question with those i not understanding; fair to others.

thanks
*
u can spray at home but during the race no spraying only grease is allowed on the gears section
