16th of May... the race start from 10 AM till 7 PM... it will be held in Jakarta... the exact place will be announced later.. still in negotiation... but we're sure it will be held in Jakarta... smile.gif

The rules that we use is basically taken from tamiya car rules.. except for few things... the use of non tamiya product for pole, bearings and rollers are allowed but except those 3 things tamiya product is a must. Also we use Motor limitation in this race... motor wil be limited to Power Dash Motor (Ultra Dash, Jet Dash, Plasma Dash is not allowed) for classic cars and for PRO will be limited to HyperDash PRO motor... The motor cannot be open in any condition... this for make sure that the player race with a real original tamiya motor.

The track will be consist of 150-250 pcs of track...

so how about it... interested ? smile.gif
*
i thought 100% tamiya
lets see my other friends interested or not
thanx for the info

QUOTE(Legendary.High5s @ Apr 18 2009, 06:57 PM)
i was talking to this toy shop owner today bout tamiya..he told me the reason tamiya died because some internet bloggers/ racers sent a complaint letter to Tamiya Japan saying that Daisheng was overcharging us for the product and eventually they took back the license to sell from Daisheng.. This guy's from Pandan Kapital in Pandan Indah where i used to go play..

When you said Tamiya was making a comeback...who's handling this matter? Daisheng? Stargek?

Is the track in Mines Wonderland still there?
*
well let teh past be the past there are versions of stories about the change of diatributers.
i have been racing since the daisheng days the races died becouse the lack of control during the races as there are more concern about the rm3 ticket sales.
if the limit the number of prizes a racer can win it will open up to more guys winning but that really did not heappen so u will see the few usual winners in all the races (they also buy the most tickets) so they are considered big time customers .
as time goes by fewer and fewer racers turn cos they know they cant win so they give up.i have bed to a race where only 6 people racing so they stop doing the races.

well now there is a small group of us playing in tamiya underground so if u are still interested to enjoy mini4wd u can come over to join us
by the way is the guy u talk to is simon i just want to know

Of coz i am..very interested..that's why i bought the emperor, only time is not exactly permitting me to do so ..i will  dropby soon...my aim right now is to bring back these cars to malaysia scene by blogging... even that simon guy hopes that we can maybe send a request/letter to japan to give the distribution back to daisheng or something..
*
hhahhaa i think u just try to promote it management wise they wont listen to u 1 of the reason also that they make their showroom look like a china toy shop rather than a tamiya shop.

if daisheng takes it with all the branches closing will they reopen again crazy cost incure

it's very obvious that i want tamiya to be relive...come on man..tamiya is awesome...after tamiya..everyone in malaysia started focusing more on video games..

i dont get the part you said "china shop"?? oh wait do you mean Daisheng making it look like a china shop?

so what do you think is going to happen bout the distribution?
*
well they sell china made toys more than tamiya
we have been distributing tamiya products in malaysia for 3 years already
well to let u know that tamiya mini4wd racing is part of my life

well i rest my case here about this matter dont want to start a fight or something with u

hey David , no problem..i get what you mean..no going to argue with you about that.

nice pictures by the way.

so what will tamiya underground do for advertising or promotion coz im interested in helping you , you know ... do something to help t.u get more known...
*
thanx man
well 1 of the problem is that guys interested with mini4wd is really spread all around malaysia so to unite them will not be easy (hard to find hardcore racers who will go everywhere to race)
if u are good with blog u can just start it maybe with the title mini4wd in malaysia i think pics u can get easily so if u need info u can just pm me
i will be glad to help

as for promtion i really get a lot of enquiry about mini4wd cars from time to time so with the blog done i can just add the link to our tamiya malaysia website then maybe we can grow form there
