QUOTE(Mr P of Blue Sky Team @ Apr 4 2009, 12:12 AM)

No it's a 9mm bearing. We are not allowed to use 9,5 mm bearing in our rules because they were not officially imported by Tamiya Italia and we can only use alredy imported items.

FRPs' Mini are in use since year 2003.

Main categories in Italy are 3.

Let's and GO!!

use of all items,  Motor Allowed Max Atomic and Atomic Pro, only 6 roller/stab are allowed.
2 rollers with bearing or 2 bearing in a total of 6, Little modification on body, no cutting, glueing  or bending FRPs'.
Battery Ni-Cd max 1000 mAh or Ni-Mh max 1300mAh. No bearing on whells axis and gear.
Commercial battery charger allowed only.
Age limited to 15 yo.

EXPERT Class

any of officially imported item are allowed with the limit of Hiper Dash 2 or Hiper Dash Pro as Motor.
Modification oh body permitted but motor should be covered and body fixed with its original closure.
Permission to drill new hole for screw purposing. Little modification on battery holder to permit the usage of more powerfull Ni-Mh batteries likemKan 188 mAh and Elite 1700 mAh. No cutting, glueing  or bending FRPs'.
No Age Limit

TOP Class or FRPs' Cars as you said

No age limit. All items are permitted if already imported by Tamyia Italy even if they are no more available on the market, i.e. 5 spoke Alu roller 19 mm blue, Jet Dash, etc. Modification on chassis are allowed and you can cut the body in any way provide you cover the motor. In the events I'm organizing max motor is Ultra dash.
No limits in battery chargher, conditioning, etc. We plain this category as The Must on which the only limit is your brain.

QUOTE(Ballwen @ Apr 10 2009, 09:45 PM)
Hi Everyone, Greetings from Thailand. Today i just went to the Tamiya Shop in Bangkok. Quite alot of items u cant find in Singapore. Price is slightly cheaper than in SGP. Really had a hard time trying to understand what they trying to say. But however, i should be ready for the race next Sunday. Actually they did print the Track layout for me. After looking at the track settings, There ain't any obstacles except for the Hump. Now what i am worry about is how am i going to bring the best out of my Motor. You are only allowed to use Atomic tuned, Rev and torque fopr the STD race. And Hyper dash 2 for the Open race.

The diff between the two races is that For the Std race, Only 3 pairs of rollers allow. And You have to put on the O-RING if you are using the Aluminium rollers.

Any advice?
*
go for the open race use 8 alu rollers then brake for front and back

QUOTE(antoro @ Apr 14 2009, 07:21 PM)
Hello guys... my name is antoro... and I am fans of mini4wd from Indonesia.. smile.gif and actually I am selling few of mini4wd products here in Indonesia and also in the internet....

I want to clarify the statement of my friend (indonesian monster) on his previous post about 200km/h speed.. .please re-read again you will find that its on drag race event... the track of drag race is usually only contain stright lane.. I dont know about the motor that can run 200km/h but I myself usually build a motor that on speed car can run > 120km/h with sanyo 700 batteries.. (on speedchecker)

also there is question in the previous post that questioning how to measure the speed over 99km/h in speedchecker... ? the speedchecker have 2 mode of measurement.. the speed in km/h and another is distance mode.. in the second mode you will be able to set the distance start from 300 m .... 290 m.... 280m ... and so on.. when you start your car in speedchecker.. it will count how many time that your car need to run along 300 m... and viola!! by using elementary math operation you will find that 300m devide by running time (s) then multiply the result with 3600 s/hour and devide again with 1000m/km you will fine the speed of your car.... smile.gif

for ex : t is your running time along 300m lets try 8s

speed = ( 300/t ) x (3600/1000)
speed = (300/8) x 3,6
the result is = 135 km/h
I hope it useful ... smile.gif

nice to see another racer join this forum and thanx for the calculatins
putting the car on the dyno to check the speed is totally different then calculating its run on the actual track where it have drag , resistance and surface grip.
have u measure your speed basad on the length of the track with the fastest timinig done that maybe faster or slower.
long time ago we used to play speed here also but the way we calculate is different .our aim is the go as many pcs of track we can in a second.
example
total 200 pcs of track multiply by total laps devide by the timing to get the total
200 multiply 3 devide by 25sec total 24pcs of track per second

now in china they have gone 53 pcs per second
the fastest i reacall here is 43 pcs per sec if i am not mistaken that was i think 11 years ago

can i know more about the race format and rules for speed race in indonesia
i hope the learn new things

Hello David,

First I am not a speed player.. smile.gif I am actually a standard player here in Indonesia.. but I know a little bit about speed since I am selling also few speed car  spareparts...

and Yes.. the speedchecker only count the speed of the motor where it also affected by gear set and the size of the wheel, and also the tires... may I know that you said 43 is it means 43 only straight lane or mixed ?  coz it really depend on the shape of the track.... Speed player here in Indonesia usually play on 300 pcs of track (24 pcs curve).. and it will take 19.40 s for 3 laps.. (may be there is more player who can run faster than this record) smile.gif

Race format here same like other race in Indonesia.. we're using coupon if we want start our car in the box start.. the winner of one race will have 2nd stage coupon and so on until we find 3 champions... and coz of this coupon rules 1 player/team will be able to win the 1st,2nd and 3rd place of the winner... this slight general rules of tamiya event in Indonesia... smile.gif how bout in malaysia ?
*
wow nice then u can tell me more about standard racing in your place

as for 43 is mainly curves

our race format is time attack

wow... that kind of track would cause the pole curved... biggrin.gif in standard we usually run in 40-50 km/h in speedchecker... in this speed the cars can jump and landing in 13-15 pcs after slope... it will depend on how many pcs you put before slope... usually 4-5 pcs...

this is the sample of track in my place.. (the photo taken at night with my cellphone.. sorry for the blur.. biggrin.gif) this contain around 57-60 pcs of tracks, 1 slope, 1 single jump, and 1 velodrome curve... oh and I was using velodrome for change lane (not viewed on the picture, usually we're using loop for change lane)...

user posted image

oh and we usually use the term "xx km/h in speedchecker" coz we're not bother on how much the real speed is.. smile.gif

this is the sample of my standard car... smile.gif

Hope it useful... smile.gif

thanx for the info
this type of racing is similar to the races in malaysia and singapore but we use all original tamiya parts and alkaline batteries so the speed will not be as fast

i sure hope to race with u 1 day

Sure... I'll be ready when the chance is comming.. biggrin.gif

We are here also have original standard race... also have to use original tamiya parts... and the style of the slope is slightly different... for originals, we use bridge instead of regular slope.. its for minimize the risk.. and also we are using rules from tamiya when we build the cars... the shape is same like my cars but built from original tamiya parts... smile.gif we have plenty of original tamiya fans here... smile.gif I am also selling few of cars and upgrade parts original from tamiya in my online and offline store... smile.gif
