i think your seat is lose. Happened to my iswara before. You need to push/pull the whole seat front/back to allow the "locking gear" in place.

Not sure it works but you can try.

it is supposed to strengthen your car body when you corner at high speed. I personally do not think it add value since we are not going to use this car for racing.

Correct me if i am wrong. Still learning...

i think gear change has got nothing to do with engine temp whether it is at 1st bar or 3rd bar.
anything above 3rd bar should trigger you that the temp is behaving abnormal

actually, higher CC car doesnt mean that it will use more petrol. Please dont understand it wrongly.
not necessary 1.0 viva consume lesser petrol than 1.3 saga.
not necessary auto consume more petrol than manual.

For petrol consumption, basically depends on your driving style.

It will change. You just rev higher a bit, do not scare about the engine sound. Once it get change to gear 2, it just drive like normal. I usually don't do that, just drive with gear 1 for a short distance, even without reaching temp bar 3, it will change the gear automatically. If yours still continue won't change the gear until you reach temp bar 3, you better take it for a check.
Well, your car temp will rise quite fast from 1st bar to 3rd bar. It is recommended to gradually increase your speed and temp rather than rev it from cold state.

lolz.. but that sonex is a damn good material.. i also insulate my door using that.. i keep stuffing and stuffing now my door so mampat..
you DIY the sound proofing? Sonex -water proof? If you put it inside your side door, the rain water will seep in and might soak your sound proof material and leave it wet/damp.

Added on August 3, 2008, 4:55 pmAnyone knows does the alarm remote attach to the key recharges itself when we use the key?
Or, how we can change the battery next time?
it wont recharge..you need to change the battery. I think around RM5.00. It is available in car accessories shop. You can change it yourself too
