lolx.... i think when the heat indicator reach to 5 ur car will be probably overheat d haha.... i think dont need to wait until the temp. reach to optimum which is 3 bar and jus drive slow until reach the optimum temp then u can drive like normal lo.... dont need to change gear .... jus gentle with right pedal ok d... p/s:now the petrol so expensive still want to wait and heat up the engine meh....

i think gear change has got nothing to do with engine temp whether it is at 1st bar or 3rd bar.
anything above 3rd bar should trigger you that the temp is behaving abnormal

Check ur gearbox fluid level. If not enough fluid then ur gearbox will have difficulty shifting gears. Worst will cause wear and tear.

Proton lied with their claimed FC..
My FC before fuel price hike RM30 - 180KM
after fuel price hike RM30 - 120KM combined 50-50 urban/hiway
My advice.. DONT buy SAGA BLM AUTO if FC is your main consideration..
As for manual BLM... I don't know...

I consider myself a good driver, i.e. no necessary acceleration or deceleration, and not to step on the gas pedal unnecessarily.  Still, the best I could achieve for a full tank of RM53 was 350km (pre-hike).  And that was 90% highway driving at 90-110km/h average.
I thought my BLM auto was one of a kind.. the bad apple.  Complaints to the mechanics during scheduled service intervals were fruitless.. All I could hear was that the model was new and nothing much they could do unless they received/heard something from their head office.
Don't get me wrong here, I wish the FC is within 10% of the quoted figure in the advertisement but right until today I could not achieve the FC claimed by Proton.  The sad thing is, my Honda EK 2door auto (before I converted to B16A) gave me better fuel consumption. (13.5km/Liter combined driving).
I wish proton could come up with something to remedy this because other than FC I have got almost nothing to complaint against my SAGA BLM.

Hi there..i am new to this forum, (reader only b4 this)... every morning i start up the car and let it warm up 1st before i drive. If i drive when the temp is 1 bar.. the car just keep dragging itself in the 1st gear until i push the pedal hard( around 3k RPM) then it will switch to 2nd gear. Thats the same with all auto car i guest... oh..mine is Auto black. I place my order 21.Feb.08 and received the car on 05.06.08.. my car die on its first day on the road ( wont go into the details here). FC is a concern right now..anyway i am still testing out the actual cost to mileage... I am from Sarawak and there is no high way and the roads kindda not so "developed". bumpy and not straight.

yes..my car die in the middle of the road...the fuse got loose and i was damn angry about it... 1st i thought the car overheated..cause the temperature is around 3 bars at that time.... then when the sales agent came.,..he straight away go  the fuse box just beside the battery and tighten one of the fuse.... he told me that mine is the 1st "case"..yeah right... like i believe him... anyway... they replaced the fuse and now my car is fine... hope everything goes smoothly for the next 5 years and then i will change the car ( no warranty already)

Just done my 10k service last week, got change new spark plug from Proton, engine oil, steering oil....etc etc. This is only minor service, next service will be major service, wonder how much it will cost for a major + labour charge....

they sucks but u'll contineu service wit them? 

lolx.. so how ur remaining warenty period for 3 year tat proton provide jus void like tat if u service at outside...
