Is it advisable to learn the 2 point ghost wolf talent for felmyst encounter in SWP for a Resto shammy?

Btw, how much hit enha shaman need? Assume he has already learn the 3% hit in resto tree as well

Insta Ghost wolf = useful but not necessary

+hit = Shammies have enough +hit talents to not miss specials if I'm not wrong. Generally most gem for AP (Str) then Crit. Hit comes naturally with gear.

Wait for mikehuan to give you more details tongue.gif

I'm just wondering what will be the desired hit rating an enha shammy should aim for. Is below 100 too little?

There's a very good EJ Theorycrafting post on Enh Shammy +hit requirements i.e. just talent spec it. It's in the think thank section.

The 3D graph gets distracting though.

No u don not nid a high amount of HIT,
Your WF alredy cap with the add hit talent from Enhance Tree and Resto tree.
Thus extra hit will only benefit your white attacks:)
yes EJ forum use to have 1 thread and now its under ThinkThank ala theprycraft without any discussion anymore but SUPERB INFO!

my guild is attempting felmyst atm. imo, well, ghost wolf isnt really a must for resto shamans, if you are on the ball and reacting to the calls fast. but, i would suggest that you do spec into it, but only if you are able to get used to using GW ASAP to run. (ie no clicking, no point if u are clicking on it).

as for hit, yes, it comes naturally with gear. how much to aim for? there isnt a "magic" hit rating number that you should go for. as already stated, wf is already capped with talents from both resto and enhance trees, if you put the points in. hit rating gives as much AEP as armor pen at t6 levels, as opposed to t5 where AP and crit would give you more AEP (AEP as in DPS, refer to EJ)

why? well, once you are in bt, or farming it, you would see a considerate increase of damage in your white hits, and generally its more dps. if you are not farming illidan i would suggest not to go for any hit items, 80-90 hit should be more than enough. once in SWP, try to aim for at least 120-180 hit, while maintaining your AP and crit. (its possible, hard yes, but possible.)

another stat to go for would be armor penetration. try to armory shamans in swp, as you can see most of them are going for armor penetration items. imo the best way to see what kinda stats you need in order to improve your DPS is to check guilds already past brutallus, get a hold of their wws if possible and check what kinda itemization they are going for.
