I personally never auditioned them before. If you wanna have your picture frames to drop out from their pin nails, the Velo should do the job. Listen to a few and you'll probably find the one you need.
If you're in KL it should not be a problem, as there are plenty of shops you can visit.

10R is about 2k or less. 10Q is around 2.3k and yes go for bigger sub if you can afford. Its not about how loud it can goes but how low. Cap ayam can also shattered your windows with full blast but all you hear is noise...not bass
