QUOTE(ycs @ Aug 2 2008, 08:28 AM) i just got myself a new sub and wondered if it can be placed on some sort of shelf/raised platform/base to enable easy cleaning of the foor underneath considering the strong vibrations from the sub. its a CHT-10R. place on the floor for best performance..

QUOTE(htkaki @ Aug 3 2008, 10:00 AM) Taikor, your Paradigm is in different league compared to others made lah. This is a very well-known sub that you have got. When it is properly calibrated, very few models come close to it at that price. If the sub is overwhelming, then it doesnt reflect the 'true' intended recording sound. Many ppl set wrongly, with overpowering bass. For instance, Hotel California. The bass should be just right and not sound like a big massive drum. Boss..too bad i am not living in KL otherwise can invite u to come help me set lor..but i alrd set the sub level below half and loudness off frm my av..nowadays night time i watch DVD at -35 to -40db only dun dare go below scare later disturb my neighbour..

QUOTE(callmevil @ Aug 27 2008, 09:36 PM) ok.. i have just spent a good hour calibrating my speakers / sub (1st time doing this since i bought them), didnt know it could be complicate for beginners.. ok.. so again i used cloverfield to test.. i just skipped to intense scene.. the difference is unbelievable haha.. so for anyoen who havent calibrate their speakers.. PLEASE DO! u dont know what ure missing! i had to reduce my movie volume from 0db down to -5db now.. ok now.. 1 question to sifus.. why do i feel exhausted.. like seriously exasperated after listening to intense BASS + effect?? when i say effect.. the svs rumbles my whole room until every building demolishing scene in cloverfield made me feel like i am RIGHT there... is this some placebo effect??? but i find myself kinda gasping for air when the scene is done.. and now i am exhausted.. and feel a bit scared.. haha help? dude how do u calibrate ur speakers? my avr got no auto calibrate function..so any tips on how to set it correctly?

yes..i also use 2.1 for rock, heavy metal musics.. but for audiophile songs i prefer pure direct mode - straight - analog
