I am sourcing for this similar foam from a supplier as I saw all these foams before including those acoustic panels' materials.

QUOTE(bryanlee @ May 10 2009, 10:30 AM) Yes, it is Gramma. He bought this many years ago. That time it is less RM200 Subdude, which way smaller is costing us RM285/pc. That also we are buying a few pieces. Just done testing with Subdude. It was placed under the sub early in the morning. Since I have tested Ironman BD yesterday. I tried the same scene (Chapter 5). The bass is a bit tighter and the 'boominess' is dramatically reduced. Pop in TDK BD, DTS demo disc, THX demo disc, CR, HellBoy II. Overall, it did improve although not dramatically. It 'lends' control to the sub, making it 'bearable' on high volume. It is like the sub being given a light dosage of steriod to its 'muscle'. Verdict : Worthy buy considering the price. On another note, I tried peeling off the rubber footings on CHT-12R but failed. It is just too sticky. I wonder how it would perform with its whole bottom on top of subdude. Anyone took out the footings? This post has been edited by htkaki: May 10 2009, 03:02 PM |

QUOTE(jchong @ May 10 2009, 04:45 PM) Looks like all the users are reporting the same effects, tighter bass and less boominess. Depending on individual. I still find it heavy for music. I have calibrated all my channels with SPL meter. I can safely say that Velo is indeed meant for movie So with the SubDude does it mean your Velo sub is just as 'vicious' but also with more control? Means better suited to music also in addition to HT? |

jchong, can you omit Taukeh mpyw out of the Optimum list? I bet he would be glad if you put under Klipsch RT-12D

jchong, luckily for me that SPL-1200R and Servo 15 no longer in production. That effectively puts me out of the list. LOL...
I am currently quite happy with my CHT-12R. No moeny yet for elite sub. |

Yday, itchy butt. I took out my white snake from PS3. Plug it to my CHT-12R. With the Subdude in place and a better cord, the bass is cleaner, and tauter. Then again, still 'vicious'
Next time, going to make some isolation platform myself for my Klipsch and center speaker |

QUOTE(mpyw @ May 13 2009, 04:55 PM) Bro, they won't consider me since I am too 'amateur' in this segment. They normally choose those companies with more than a decade of track records. This is to ensure that their brand is 'carried' well here. Btw, anyone interested in this http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/techNu/...icle/index_html |

QUOTE(mpyw @ May 15 2009, 04:44 PM) Yeah, totally agree with taukeh. SVS 'bolster' is kacang putih to Tun Mega lah. QUOTE Exactly the problem with my 10R now. This is not the sub u setup once and forget. Different movies need different preset I watched Max Payne. Since the LFE was overdone, it is so torturing. For 2nd time, I took out the remote to change the setting. But, I must say that the subdude and my white snake did 'tame' it a little.Anyway once u got the correct preset for that movie....manyak syok |
