Think this 60" sub will definitely meet your standard.. 

I not sure is d system setup problem or wat. they r using yamaha amp and JBL speaker.
D salesman play a demo DVD with all d bass n sound effect....
I can feel d bass,... but its make me not feel well. the sound like not nature at all.
Alot of Distortion.
In movie its not make d movie sound big, worst it make detail not clear. Not as powerfull as its saying..
In music its performance more.. but because of the distortion produce too much so..... 
I dun like it...

I think is the setup problem la.. d salesman not as Professional as us ma

hahaha.. I thinking of this before.. cos some of the club sound system very good..
The bass very deep n nature n not hurt our ear... I really love it n enjoy it..
But i heard d system is very very expensive n not suit to home use especially in condo..

car sub need an active amp to power it, and it might not look nice, just get a proper HT sub lor, nice builts and when u put on your hall its less humilating haha

he sounded like another fella in lyn.. the fella was looking for PA speakers.. also looking for boom boom sound

u want boom boom sound just go & get a 15" car sub-woofer and DIY lar....
audiophile here not looking for any boom boom sound here...
we look for tight, fast & detail LFE & bass....
any sub woofer out there can do loud boom boom sound without the clarity...

and since money is not a constrain, u can just import anything from anywhere and I'm sure warranty is not an issue for you as you can always send them back to claim as money is not an issue to you....

Hey Bro, me think u r 'confused'; the SPL Velodyne can definitly 'boom boom' & is loud & its 1000 watts!!!

You can say its not as 'musical' or 'fast' as JL audio or some Hi-Fi Sub....... But if u want loud & boomy u can't go wrong w. SPL. How can it go low enuf for LFE but not enuf to play music bass??

Let us know your application and budget then mayb some sifu will assist u else stop trolling.....

U all get wrong d.. If he say Velodyne no good mean he looking for cheap bass like car subwoofer.. not clear n plus noisy n lousy... So my suggestion is U go for Car subwoofer then modified it to home use..

I did try car sub woofer for home use ( Pioneer 12" & also Mohawk 12" ). Sure got boom boom but not the powerful BOOOOOM which I need for movie ( read up my siggy got pic in my Praadigm 'unrated' vision ).
So my car sub woofer for home use is a failed DIY project ( I have problem sourcing for power supply for car monoblock amp ) .

If u r looking for a sub & wanna play music loud u probably lookin for the "feng thou" effect where u want to feel the bass hit ur chest.... that my freind is the LFE in play hence u r looking for a powerfull HT sub as oppose to a refined Hi-Fi sub. U need a big woofer with high amplification and can go below 24hz Hence many xperienced "bass heads" recommended SPL. U can oso try importing a SVS or Hsu but avoid the entry level stuff

brand klipsch good.. play music loud boom good... 5.1 more loud boom boom music .. but want loud boom buy 2 klipsch.. dont think more more.. fast buy fast deep bass boom music good
