Correct. The flatter profile is typically prefered. T1 look at the curve from 50-100Hz, pretty good. Below 50Hz it rolls off pretty fast. It will not reproduce 20Hz well, if at all. Watch out about the JL5113 curve, yes it is good but it is at 90dB. You will typically get a good response at higher dBs but I doubt you can listen at that level for long. 75dB to 80dB is the normal listening level. The CHT-12Q Eq-ed looks pretty good. I think there is a new SVS, Audyssey product due out to equalize subs, 2 or more subs as well.
*
Thanks for the tips.

On that graph the CHT-12Q was eq-ed using the internal eq function. If Audyssey is applied on top of that some more I wonder if the graph will further improve?

JL F113  drool.gif  drool.gif  I have posted it earlier abt this gem. It is about RM14K. Saw 2 units in Amcorp Mall.

Yeah, it's one heck of a sub! At one point in time the F113 was top rated on the craigsub list. Now the top dog is the Elemental Designs A7-900 (USD$2200).

Another one that's been making waves recently is the SubMersive by Mark Seaton (approx USD$2k).

No distributor yet in Malaysia. Maybe someone should try to get it.
*
Yeah, too bad no distributor in MY yet. I did ask them about the SVS PB12-NSD. The sub itself is quite reasonable at USD$569, but the door-to-door shipping is a killer at USD$615 (more than the sub itself!!). And this doesn't include taxes yet. So that killed the deal for me.

bro just buy direct from US.. those 'bersih, cekap and amanah' officers r not that hard to handle.. worst case scenerio just pay the tax...  or buy 2nd hand from sg.. but make sure your vehicle can fit in la..  if u r interested then i will help u to keep and eye and see got any 2nd hand or not...
*
Hey bro, you have the PB12-NSD right? Was your shipping charge as expensive as what SVS quoted me? Also how much did you need to pay for duties?

No-la u got the pricing wrong, it is only:

Door to door      $260      Bax Quote Number 3456186

Door to airport  $200      Bax Quote Number 3456133

as quoted by Eric of SVS
*
Wah, your quote so different from the one Erik gave me:

PB12-NSD
Door to door $615 Bax Quote Number 4532994
Door to airport $240 Bax Quote Number 4532982

If door to door is only USD$260 then worth considering. Then total would be $569+260 = $829 * 3.6 = RM2,984. Add 15%+10% tax = RM3,730.

Of course if got local distributor better, I checked with SVS Philippines dealer website and their local price there is equivalent to approx RM3,115. In Australia it is equivalent to approx RM3,450.

Err where r u located? Not in Klang Valley?

I think we have a member that can help ship 'stuff' from overseas at a discounted rate. Mayb u can ask 'him' to assist
*
I asked Erik to quote shipping to Klang Valley.

In the end I think I will buy locally first, to have local warranty coverage. Hope in future got SVS dealer here (hint, hint to htkaki tongue.gif) then I'll upgrade.

Great. Will wait for all your field reports soon.

Please remember to inform us what kind of floor you have because Nelson from Centre Circle mentioned that for carpet over concrete floor usually there is no vibrational issue that requires the SubDude to cure. If you have the usual tiled floor or parquet or timber strips then SubDude is more useful.

Just done testing with Subdude. It was placed under the sub early in the morning.

Since I have tested Ironman  BD yesterday. I tried the same scene (Chapter 5). The bass is a bit tighter and the 'boominess' is dramatically reduced.

Pop in TDK BD, DTS demo disc, THX demo disc, CR, HellBoy II.

Overall, it did improve although not dramatically. It 'lends' control to the sub, making it 'bearable' on high volume. It is like the sub being given a light dosage of steriod to its 'muscle'.

Verdict : Worthy buy considering the price.
*
Looks like all the users are reporting the same effects, tighter bass and less boominess.

So with the SubDude does it mean your Velo sub is just as 'vicious' but also with more control? Means better suited to music also in addition to HT?

jchong, luckily for me that SPL-1200R and Servo 15 no longer in production. That effectively puts me out of the list. LOL...

I am currently quite happy with my CHT-12R. No moeny yet for elite sub.
*
Ha-ha, that just means you can now save up for something else even better! thumbup.gif

BTW I've edited the list.

If can get enough kaki here we could organize our own MO.

Glad to see you're aiming at the PB-13 Ultra. From the reviews that's one hell of a sub!!
