Hi guys, i'm looking for a 19" widescreen for general use. Came accross the Viewsonic VX1940w with good reviews. Is it a good buy or are there better options? Keep the price tag below RM700.  smile.gif

ViewSonic VX1962wm is the upgraded version of this, retailing at RM699.

@patchin: Thanks for the idea, just wondering whether anyone here have any opinions of the 3 models that I mentioned.

@Moogle Stiltzkin: Aye, I know I can Google for the reviews, I asked here cause I wonder what are the opinions of you all here (in LYN). I seen the reviews from some other sites too - Nonetheless, thanks as well =)

I think HP 19" LCD monitor is pretty reliable, price is about RM8++ if you can afford.

I feel very sad. The Hazro 26'' Hazro HZ26Wi is only sold in the UK. Impossible to get in Malaysia.
The review

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/hazro_hz26wi.htm
But fortunately the HP LP2475W is quite comparable and competes directly with the Hazro HZ24Wi. Mine is arriving in 7-10 days from now since it takes 3 days to clear by credit card it seems.

I paid RM 2400 for this so it's worth it imho. Rm 3000 was starting to make me sweat. I'm buying from HP directly since the reseller said they have no stock heh.
I really have no idea why people are looking at the Dells. I personally own a Dell 2405 FPW by the way. It was a good monitor but now is the time for me to experience S-IPS since people have been telling me it had lower input lag, better color and image quality. I've seen TN and it's worse then my PVA monitor ...........

Dell 2408 is a S-PVA with high input lag issues .... the HP LP2475W has between 15-30 ms input lag which is perfectly fine. In an official review the Hazro HAZ26Wi has 7.5 to 20 ms which is quite impressive.

I will post a mini review with pics once i get my monitor  nod.gif

How did you get RM2400 for the monitor? It is listed on the website as RM3000.

Pls let me know....

Other than Contrast Ratio, it designs difference and with additional built-in speakers.
I saw brochure from Low Yat, VX1940w selling RM685.
So with additional RM14, u can get an upgraded ver. smile.gif

Like i said i talked with the direct sales person and she quoted the price for me.

I was also surprised the price was lower then the website stated price. My order seems to say it is a promotional item so maybe that is why.

If your interested you can ask the sales person i talked to about it nod.gif

Yeah, which exact model of HP 19" LCD you're referring to?
Can support up to 1680x1050 (with pixel pitch 0.243mm)?

So far only found 3 models can support 22" resolution in 19".
VX1940W, VX1960wm and Asus VW198T.

I asked hp and they forwarded me to a reseller who was only selling 2465 ............ i got fedup so i asked HP again to buy from directly instead. This time they finally said their selling the 2475 Anyway my cc has been cleared so they said i have to wait for the freight forwarding company and for the standard turn around time to schedule delivery will be 14 working days.

doh.gif im counting down the seconds...

My thoughts about the purchasing experience.

Their website updated the price and have a look for reseller to buy from. The link to buy is useless since their manually asking you to look for the reseller which may or may not have stock of it.

Also their online shop wasn't update selling the 2475 .....

Alternatively i tried calling direct sales but they had no clue about the 2475. They just say they aren't selling it

I then mailed before sales enquiries and you can select either buy direct from hp or buy from reseller. Anyway i finally select hp and they finally quoted the actual 2475 i was looking for.

Imho they need a little more communication between the departments so that all depts know when 2475 is being sold and availability rather then oh not being sold when in fact they are ......... yawn.gif
