Basically, 1 PSP game and 1 PS3 game, both have some connection....and that pic is not big boss but another of his clones....which might be:

a.) Snake after he got rid of the rapid aging somehow
b.) Akiba is a big boss clone. WTFFFFFFFFFF!!!

i seriously thing its not gonna be Johny. Most probably its going to be the man behind the strings. and dont forget, Raiden's code name was SNAKE..

Funny to think that if the alleged picture of 'Big Boss' is actually Akiba/A new generation of Johnnys. Perhaps it could explain why Akiba didn't have nanomachines in him all the while in MGS4.

It would also be quite amusing if Akiba is the appointed leader of whatever the organization (militaries without frontiers) and leads a (truly sovereign) generation of soldiers and country who are free from the Patriot's grasp and manipulation. Imagine a truly 'democratic country' of gun-totting-diarrhea-on-the-run soldiers.

But anyways, i'll leave it to speculation. Its fun.

Any ideas/theories why Raiden has a cloth/bandana covering his left eye?

I suppose we'll just wait till E3 where Kojima will likely spill some beans to keep the hype going.

Raiden being in an upcoming DLC for the current MGS4

- It was already rumoured that there was a DLC and Raiden would be in it.
- Kojima had mentioned that a DLC was in the works for MGS4 since last year.

Big Boss will be the main character in MGS5

- We know how these two characters (Big Boss and Raiden) can't be in the same game as it will create a Time Paradox.
- BB has all the features that signifies he is the real BB, rather than Solid Snake.

*The DLC might or might not be announced a few days after the three E3 Press Conferences.
**The DLC is most likely to be released on the anniversary.

- He can learn
- Meryl shot him accidentally in bed
- In metal gear series of games, FOX-HOUND or anything with the word FOX in it has a tendency to abandon its ideals and become a traitor. So him being in RP01 means nothing.

I'm really lol-ing at the prospect of Snake's stress meter being changed to a continence meter.

Hint: Both have blue eyes.

Sounds like its a whole different game style and may not be reusing the MGS 4 engine.

Update: According to PSI, whom have translated the article, a Metal Gear Solid for both PSP and PS3 will be released that will be connectible with each other. The game will take place seven years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4. The Big Boss character in the scans is not actually Big Boss but his most recent clone, who's said to have played a role in Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Over the last seven years his aging has been rapid. That's all we got out of the translation.

Original: The countdown site for Kojima Productions' next game has recently updated with an image of Metal Gear Solid's Big Boss. Now, a new interview with Kojima in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine has the image of Big Boss and Raiden (it could also be Gray Fox).

The interview, titled "Director Kojima Interview With Tons of Blanked Out Words: Talking The Latest MGS", contains little information on the next Metal Gear Solid since Kojima says at the end that it's only okay to publish the interview if Famitsu blanks out all the important words. Those are what all the white dots are for.

There is also a theory that the old man actually Solid Snake,but logically speaking the logo on the beret is Green Beret logo,Solid Snake niot even cloned in that year.

kojima said the mysterious person play a 'role' in MGS, MGS2 & MGS4.

role doesnt mean he have to make an appearance in those game. as a background character that pull the string is sufficient enough(like Solidus planned the event in MGS)
