Guys we're talking about Kojima here not some 4th grade wannabe developer. What makes you think that he'll actually be so stupid to create another clone and potentially destroy the story of MGS? Do know that he says in the interview, the new game is indeed part of the saga. So it's storyline is canon, not fillers.

Raiden could be possible as a standalone game, just named MGR. Pretty much would cover how he rescued Sunny.

HOWEVER, in the picture if you look closely, that doesn't entirely resemble Raiden. Raiden has BLUE eyes NOT BROWN. Furthermore, there are instances of orange stripes on the shoulder as well. It could be Grey Fox, I know he's.... dead and all. But you know how crazy the story can turn. Who would have thought the ending of the MGS4 would be...

Good and bad. Good is that Konami is going to make a boatload of money, bad is that it's also going to piss off alot of people.

Kojima goes nuts and releases '8'-EIGHT, MGS games for the PS3 and PSP.

Zal, MGS Mobile isn't canon. Or atleast thats what the GT retrospective says....
Which means, in total it is 7 games in canon series.

If anything, that 8 would mean it could be the 8th canon game in the MGS saga. Which also points to the fact that Kojima said in the Famitsu interview that the game is related to the MGS saga as well.

God I hope it isn't MGS5.

I thought the countdown timer would end at Sony's press conference though. But in accordance to the time left and the time for Sony's press to start, they don't relate.....

You're not the only one bad with maths. My bad, its another 6 hours and 40 mins(from this post on) until the countdown ends. Which means there could be a suprise(or maybe ANOTHER countdown timer after that) an hour after MS press conference. Considering if MS press conference actually lasts 2 hours that is.
