Hey demonhunter, are u gonna get this statue?? Been back and forth on this piece, I really like the sculpture on this piece but zero knowledge of the character itself makes me think whether I should get it.

As for the toy museum in Penang, never been there even though I'm from Penang but from the pics and feedback from my friends, it doesn't look good, everything is all over the place and there seems to be a lack of care for the collections. I believe displaying your collections is more important than the collection itself.

I remember someone incorporate similiar concept for a restaurant in KL where the theme consist of mostly Marvel/DC statue & comic. Does anyone have any idea where it is located??

Personally, I prefer the previous iron man bust. For some reason, bust with hands don't look right for me...

New museum Cap America by Bowen.

Streamlined wings on head. They look painted but they are sculpted and painted as stated by Randy Bowen on statuemarvels.com

Base is new Avengers base.

Still prefer the first bowen captain america statue. The pose, base and overall character design seems more iconic than the newer release....

Anyway, was cleaning my collection and decides to take a pic of some of my statues.

Finally got the time to open up my Bowen Designs Cyclops.

Paint job is a bit on low scores on some parts of the statue. Like on the nose, the gold wrist bands. Could have been better.

Lines are not perfectly straight(the gold lining throughout his costume). A bit wobbly, but not very critical.

The base is silver, and the parts whereby they sprayed some black to give the effect of depth is very coarse to the touch. Not smooth.

Anyhow, overall, I'm happy with it. At least my Bowen Designs Marvel Girl and Jean Grey won't be lonely anymore.

That doesn't sound very good, are you gonna fix the paint?? Btw, what's the hulk & wolverine head I see in the background??

Before there was Darth Vader......there was someone more bad ass......there was Darth Malgus of The Old Republic!

I think this will be SideShow's first 1:1 sized Star Wars statue.

Know nothing about this character, the only badass before Darth Vader is Darth Maul himself.

apologies in advance for some poor shots. I'm makin it a point to get a better camera.

I always wanted a Jim Lee style based Magneto statue, but not many companies or sculptors managed to translate his artwork from 2D to 3D well. Some just say Lee's art can't be made into 3D. Erick Sosa has done an incredible job at bringing this Magneto into the realm of sculpted comic characters. You can recognize that it was based on Lee's artwork, but you also notice Erick Sosa's own artistic touches to the statue. It's magnificent.

I compared the head to the same series Wolverine, it's in scale.
Off hand, Mags's head looks a bit smaller.
But it's definitely slightly smaller than your regular 1/6 Hot Toys head ala Tony Stark.

Anyhow, the debris are not magnetic pieces. You attach them to the pegs on the cape and leg. If you don't attach the debris, the silver peg juts out from the edge of the cape like a sore thumb.

I just set this Master of Magnetism for quick shots. He is going back in the box after this because the Master of Magnetism demands that he has his own custom ordered glass display case like the one I gave my Hot Toys Wolverine.

I just recognized the base as having bits and pieces of the Danger Room series Danger Room hologram projector base.

All in all, this is the best painted piece of Kotobukiya X-Men Fine Art statue so far. All the lines, all the colors, all well painted. No smudges, no smears, no wobbly lines, no paint runs. Excellent!

When I get the display case, and when I display Magneto, I don't know which head to display. Usually I prefer mask off/helmet off to see the full face, but man, the Helmet is just dope....I think I'll go with Helmet on.

"Play time is over. The human era has ended, the Mutant Era has come!"-----Magneto, Master of Magnetism.

Congrats on the purchased. Was also eyeing on this piece initially. Has great potential to be an amazing piece with its dynamic pose and great art reference. Somehow, I felt this piece seems a little like a rush job. Something just seem off somewhere but I dunno what...

I have a concern about our collectibles, me of course would try to preserve my polystone statue to a pristine condition as long as possible say, more than 50 years and if my children like it, they can have it, it's like passing from one generation to another, haha sort of like antique collection. I know nothing can last forever, our building made of concrete/steel bars can only last for around 500 years blah blah blah, My question now: can the statues last for 50 years without deteriorated condition?

As u all know due to the humid weather in country such as Malaysia, if I display my statue for some time (dehumidifier such as Thirsty Hippo), then I re-pack and put back to the box, will the fungus/mold appear at the statue's surface? Or, how about I have one that never been display, will I get the shock of my life one day if take it out and find out the surface of the polystone become "oily" like the one I encountered with my McFarlane toys? I know Mcfarlane and Sideshow use different material, but, will it happen?

I have Indy Raiders Premium Format, the faux leather jacket appeared to be cracked at various place months after i display it, too bad. from then, I try to stay away from PF and stick only to sculptured one.

Had the same feeling as you about PF but some of it are just too awesome to ignore. I believe that polystone statue wouldn't have any problem lasting more than 50 years if it's handle with care. Just make sure the room temperature is consistent, relatively cool and avoid it from any direct sunlight. Also, I believe that you'll only get those "oily" effect from PVC and vinyl and not polystatue.
