This game is HARD. The game punishes you mercilessly if you do poorly in a mission or if you choose the easy way out. Unless you're a masochist for extremely difficult games, I suggest you sit this one out. Difficulty spikes are great though not impossible and if you don't like turning off your DS and reloading (no soft reset) your saved file A LOT, you'll get frustrated real quick.

Ugh, I remember the first VP. Somewhat non-linear in where you wanna go.. Suddenly stumbled upon this boss, fella cast some magic, movie come out, then 9999dmg x 9 on all characters shakehead.gif

Now THAT's bullying cry.gif I was like, how the hell you wanna win? laugh.gif

But you gotta love Enix game voice-overs, they're the 'best'! biggrin.gif

But this game is hard to comprehend, i means its english, what the hell, what century does this english comes from ??

And yeah, it is as hard as Valkyrie Profile 1, but VP2 is still my favourite !

Just started on Chapter 1, wow, it's harder than I thought.

The battle system is a tad bit turn-off though, it's too slow! I missed the awesome POW factor in VP2 battles.

Does anyone has problem with the Sin Points?

Please, do not Plume a single soul in your first run of the game~!

It's not a requirement! If I can, so can you!

To get the endings you want; (which is important if you want to tackle Seraphic Gate later)

There are 3 Endings in this installment.

Best - NEVER use the feather. (except the first one which is a story requirement on Ancel)
Good - Use the feather at least once.
Bad - Use the feather at least twice.

Using the feather & picking which destination at the end of every chapter will unlock different chapters. There are necessary chapters to be unlocked if you want to be able to unlock Seraphic Gate.

You need to have 3 different save files. Each with one of the required chapter unlocked.
1. (Parting from Hades) You get it by not using any feather between Chapter 2 and 5
2. Chapter 5 MUST be either (The one who cannot go back) OR (Lamentations of a lost child) AND use the feather 1-4 times to unlock (One's fate for straying)
3. (Compensation for one's sin)

i'm still at the beginning...just met with the girl's father who wants to join my party. aiyoh..forgot that archer girl's name biggrin.gif

what i find great about the battle system at the beginning is that if done correctly we can hv endless move on the enemy.

i just finished the game.

My final boss is Ailyth.

I got the ending where Wylfred returns to his hometown, fixed the musicbox, meet tilte and told her the truth(not really the truth), and his mother is sane again.

LOL it comes with the weapon, look for the Soul Crush enabled line when you are buying weapons. You should have gotten the Viking Sword for Wyl from your first Sin enabled battle if you hit hard enough (It's a loot from one of the enemies), Viking Sword has Soul Crush enabled.

You'll get the others a little later smile.gif

Always check the towns after the storyline battles. They usually have weapon upgrades. biggrin.gif

haha, not as hard as you tot. it can be hellishly hard or unexpectedly easy depending on the actions you take. but i guess it shud be ok to plume certain persons since we need to go for all endings if we wanna unlock something

Battle is as fun as always.
