here's a noob question

why is the blu ray player only is 1.5 or 2x expensive than the ps3 player that plays games,blu ray and dvd movies whereas blu-ray plays blu-ray and dvd disc?

I dunno about now but previously Sony was selling the PS3 at a loss to keep the retail price down. If Sony were to sell the PS3 at a profit I'm sure the retail price would be much higher.

Blu-ray is still a new technology and new stuff is always selling at a premium price. But the prices are falling down though. Early last year a BD player over here cost around RM3-4k. Now many are going for under RM2000 and some models are as low as RM1200.

I will get a Samsung BD-P1600 BD player next week. Thinking of selling ir for RM1000 if anybody's interested

What sort of warranty is available for the Samsung player?

Plantronics Voyager 510 headset is really good.
I been using this for a few days, and i was happy to wait to get the best.

The higher capacity of this disc allows for a much better sound and picture quality of the said movies. You need a Blu-ray player or a PS3 to play them
