This is how you should put it in. First squat or put one of your feet on the toilet bowl, then unwrap the tampon and pull the string that's all curled up at the base (this is what you use to take it out later).
Then poke it in using your finger (for tampons with the applicator, you don't hv to use your fingers). You must aim it towards your back, not upwards. It might be easier to go in if you kind of rub it a bit first so that its a bit wet at the tip. After that, wash that area and your hands.
