when running bitorrent, the program will hog the bandwidth and establish many conenction to other peers.
These connections are preventing my other programs such as Steam to establish connection to its server.
At the moment, i have to reboot the router to fix the issue. I also have QOS done. But it doesn't really helps when i have the torrent running or stopped
However, when i quit the bitorrent program, the connections are still there. The question is is there a way to discconect the connections without having to reboot the router? Thanks

QUOTE(developer @ Aug 18 2009, 02:50 AM) normally i just set the tcp connection timeout to be shorter. like 2 minutes or something
Thanks!!!! it works. I found out one thing too, there is this drop idle connection at the same page. Which means i do not need to restart the router again. QUOTE i am using 1.25.8515.2 ND now and i have a problem. when i issue a reboot command via the web interface, nothing happened. it just says rebooting and give a timer for me, then after that it would just redirect me back without rebooting. Yup. I notice that too, did the router actually restarted? This post has been edited by tyss: Aug 23 2009, 01:19 PM

I have a question here, won't limiting bandwidth by IP reduce the speed for each user?
For example, a 3000kbps is limit to 500kbps per ip for 6 pcs. What happen if only 1 user is using the line, won't it still top up at 500kbps?
