Citronella Grass is a natural mosquito and insect repellent, grown surrounding plots in organic farms in Melaka, and Perak (the ones I've visited many years ago). Looks like lemon grass (serai) , but this cannot be eaten.

Other Uses:

1. Keeps cockroaches away.
Place in corners of closets, kitchen cabinets, bathrooms, storerooms, and vehicles (back booth and under car seats). Replace 1-2 weeks after fragrance is gone.

2. Keeps mosquitoes away.
Place near or under your bed and near open windows. Replace once a week.

3. Keeps flies and bugs away.
Plant near dustbins and back garden.

4. Aromatherapy - calming effect helps to relieve nervous tension and stress.
When feeling stressed, crush a leave in your hands, place close to your nose and take a deep breath.
Keep it in your college/office bags and drawers too!

It's growing outside my home under the pinang tree in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. Volunteers are welcome to collect this and plant in orphanages, old fol homes, etc. In addition to that, grow the gift of citronella grass in your garden or outside your home too so you can give to your neighbours and friends to do the same.

Spread the love.

Yeah, i FINALLY took the time to write more about it and share with others here too.

With the petrol price fuel hike, all can save money on pesticides, mosquito coils/repellents and save the ozone layer too! tongue.gif
