went there...btw - did mediaplex has a huge booth there? didnt seem to find them. last av shows they conquered most of the space i think
bought these:
senheiser earphone - rm40 - good product - from mediaplex
dvd player hdmi upscale 1080p player - model phillips 5996k or something...rm369 from desa...with free Giraffe hdmi cable 2m... ok or not? just did some tweaking and quite happy with the pic linked to my hd65...but stick it only to 720p since my pj's native is 720p...cant really see any major difference when i change to 1080p...any comments?
actually wanted a hdmi pioneer but there one's left were over rm500...no budget for that...
and one retailer sell hd65 for more than rm4k there...haha...so Lyn-ers, better stick to htkaki fellas!
so yeah...in total now i'm like rm400 poorer...but hope it's all worth it...
oh...another weird finding...last year's av they sold the infocus 4805 for rm2500...this year the price went up to rm2800...how silly..hmmm

happy with my dvd philips 5996 that i got for rm369 with free hdmi from desa...sadly this player dont have optical out...but coaxial is ok also...
hope it's not sold for cheaper at other places lah...if not waste time only going to the av show...haha

actually any good rg56 cable can become a coaxial cable...also the composite rca video cable also can become a digital coaxial cable...or even the atro cable, if u can terminate the ends with rca. good or not?...hmm...dunno This post has been edited by silbii: Jul 31 2008, 10:39 PM |

astro cable has f-connector ...just buy an f-connector to rca male converter at jalan pasar for like rm2 each...and voila! u get a decent digital coaxial cable...
and wrapped the cable with thick batik...u get a really good looking boutique cable...hehe
i'm using a lot of long runs of rg56 cables now as my component, composite and digital coaxial cable which was disposed by some tv station years back...been 4 years and they're still good...but they don't look as nice lah...some was terminated to bnc..so iad to get some converter to change the end to rca...all connectors from jalan pasar
so do we really need monster cable? hmmmm
