OK..I saw it...I think a month back in the wee hours in the morning...at least I didn't fall asleep...
Fav. characters... the nurse...especially the last lines when some mexicans (or was it some Chinatown guys) hit her BMW....man...the writers got it spot on there.. |

i watched it years ago...this movie certainly provokes a lot of thought..i mean, what defines evil? is evil defined by skin colour? like if you are black, therefore you are evil? if you hate a person, what does your hatred based upon? do you know that the person that you hated has his own reason that leads to his actions? If you know those reasons, do you still hate him? Is revenge an ultimate solution to every bad things happen to you as the saying goes 'an eye for an eye'?

one of the best thought provoking movies I've ever seen about hatred, racism and discrimination, and how it affects people around you. The acting, story, scenes all complement each other nicely.
I agree the best scene is when the little girl rushes out to protect her father from the bullet. My heart really skipped a few beats (a first) while watching a movie. |
