hi guys...my fren wanna buy an electric guitar,amp n mfx for total under 2000..the cheaper the better..he luvs dt n jp..so can u guys recommend me what to get for his budget?he's a decent guitarist but he really doesnt know much bout guitar gears...so im suggesting him 1k for guitar,500 for amp n 500 for mfx..thanx

decent guitarist should certainly try the gear by itself ... it's easy to try when you can play !
just a thought, the mfx can be included in the amp.

get an Vox or Roland amplifier (30W ? too small ? too big ?) for 1000RM and a guitar of his choice for 1000RM or less.

since he's living in jelebu(damn!)its really hard for him to come up here...i would suggest him roland cube15,zoom gfx-5..is it ok?i've been suggesting other things as well but he sticks to his dcision trying hard to copy jp..now dats a bad thing for his budget..

How about the Petrucci OLP guitar? It's around RM800 last time I check...... but you have to wait a very long time to get that order in. JS Music shipments are always bloddy long.

Then if it's for bedroom practice, a Microcube would be fine, paired with something like the Korg AX1500G multifx......
