only sometimes quite heavy.. but always chg gear at max 3k rpm only... and full city drive... urs 16km/l got highway?
those bars kinda link up ur suspensions... when ur rght tire hit a pothole, the left 1 will depress too... ride comfort not so good... but if u can sacrifice it for cornering ability, then it's really a good way... smile.gif
*
Mine one is wandering between 12km/l to 15km/l
combination of both city and highway drive.

rm18-20 means around 10 liters of petrol... 200km/10l.. 20km/l... damn good!:D
Is your car a new car? as in, 1 or 2 yrs old? cuz i think facelifted savvy's are not so good in fuel consumption anymore... the build quality is bad too... Mine, everything is so loose, vibrate everywhere... and the engine is so much rougher... real sad... but very happy when i rev it to 5.5k rpm... hahah  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
ya. mine is the new facelifted batch of Savvy.

To those who PMed me, sorry for the late reply.

Took a day off.. went arnd till Puchong to check out used Savvy. Tmrw will go the opposite direction.

What I found out today.. most of these Savvy got bodykit installed by the used car dealers. My guess is they want to jack up the price. Condition ok, interior clean.

But, the salesmen damn lansi... if u asked to many Qs they would lose interest and didnt want to pay attention to u anymore saying things such "ok if serious we talk somemore etc"

Then, TEST DRIVE is a no-no. While, others asked u to put down deposit first.

Some more most offer no warranty. D'oh!

And, the price advertised is "best already" meaning no bargain, bargain and no asking for more stuff.
*
so bad service by those used car dealers. shakehead.gif I guess maybe they already earned enough money. laugh.gif

Another option is you may wanna opt for Savvy Lite version. Manual transmission available at RM33,999. But colour only available in black and white.

I suggest you go for white, then go change the original steel rims to sport rims, preferably gold or copper coloured sport rims, fix a rear spoiler, if budget allows, fix bodykit as well. Taa...daa...very nice looking white Savvy is born. rclxms.gif

Just my two cents. biggrin.gif

The price for Bestari indeed is higher than savvy, myvi, blm. But as u guys know, the promotion from naza currently makes the car is affordable and by spending rm400 per month, 0 dp & 0 interest, the car is urs. However, thru some info, bestari is actually underpowered due to its weighty. "http://kydrives.net/2006/10/04/naza-bestari-peugeot-206-full-review/". I am about to buy a savvy, with installment per month is around rm500. With that amount, i hv several options which i have stated in the previous topic.. now still wondering but my heart keep saying that goes for sAvvY~!
*
with 10% down payment, 9 years repayment period and installment per month of around rm500, I think your choice would be the High-Line Savvy.

Added on June 26, 2009, 2:29 am

I want to solve this also, everytime pump petrol like kena poison.. must open window 15 minutes sleep.gif
*
i tested before, the smell will come if you pump petrol until 6 bars or full tank.
if pump until 5 bars, the smell won't appear.

hi guys,

when you guys turning your savvy, not normal cornering, it is like turn the steering wheel till the end, for example making 180 degrees turn, or making 360 degrees circle, etc.

Will you hear some small and minor "tuk tuk tuk" sound coming from the front wheels? is it normal?

i dont think there is any performance improvement, but the sweet tone of it makes me want to rev to 4k-5k every gear. maybe good for gearshift indication kua.

Have anyone tried RON 95 petrol for your Savvy so far?

Which brand of RON 95 is the best for Savvy? In terms of fuel consumption and performance.

hi guys, does your Savvy have any dented areas on the car body? be it big or small dents.

I feel like the car body area especially the doors there are kinda soft, when press it with your fingers, it will bend inwards. these parts tends to get dented easily when hit by something.

40% of 1100 cars = 440 savvys in UK

Proton Cars (UK) Ltd managing director Brian Collier said the company's target had been to sell about 1,000 units this year.

The larger base of repeat customers and efforts to keep costs down helped the company to surpass its full year target, he said.

"We are actually 10 per cent ahead of our target, which is extremely nice given the difficult market condition here," he told Malaysian journalists here Wednesday.

He said car sales in the UK market was expected to drop to 1.7 million this year from 2.4 million two years ago.

Currently, Proton sells four models - Gen.2, Persona, Satria and Savvy - in the UK.

Its best selling model is the Savvy that makes up about 40 per cent of total sales.

Glad to know that Savvy is the best selling Proton model in UK.

but ironically it is completely different here in Malaysia. doh.gif

I think it's regardless how old and the mileage.. Mine was less than 1 year old (7-8 months) and mileage was less than 7k km, when I encounter this problem... 2 sensors and ignition coil KO together... Luckily warranty covers all of it...  laugh.gif
*
what are the symptoms that you face with your car during that time?

and what are the 2 sensors that you have changed under warranty?

Added on October 8, 2009, 8:22 amone thing would like to check with you guys, everytime you guys start engine, after that turn on air-con, will you hear one "tak" sound the moment you switch on the air-con? air-con kicks-in sound? is it normal?
