Hi there Savvy owners,

I'm gonna get an AMT savvy, i heard it has lots of issue but I hate to drive manual during traffic jam so...i hope the new Savvy is improved.

I'm just wondering, if driving an AMT savvy, is it gonna be more fuel efficient to drive it manually or same even if we use auto?

I've been browsing here and there on this but haven't found anyone talk abt it..or maybe here already mention but this thread damn long..

Anyone pls advise yea i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

of course manual mode.. human is always smarter than computers brows.gif

i tot sm1 said true figure is around 36+ only? cos he did drive till no more petrol left. then fill in full. can go around 36l+ petrol only. huhu.
based on certain condition, in auto mode, it tend to hold lower gear at high rpm. so u make a guess which one is more fuel saving. hehe.

guys,

smhow i got a feeling ron 95 make my fc worse la. before i got around 17km/l. now around 14km/l. doh.gif  sweat.gif

im not sure this is due to my foot or not. but i think, no diff woo. no heavy footing. normal driving. nod.gif
*
how about the power? got difference?

u know. hv to test 2 3 times baru can see the result. u guys still using 97 ke? wuyoo. very rich. got money to buy 97. huhu.

but in term of fc, i think worst ler. or i think i hv to control my foot oso. laugh.gif

I pumped Shell 95 today... immediately went for a full throttle test drive... and it was ok... not bad... although 2nd gear going uphill was quite slow... engine sound ok oni... can drive like normal... maybe have to test few more tanks

Thanks for the tips n stuff. Yeah i've registerred savoc.net and read afew stuffs there. but yet to understand the whole AMT thing..still. and that's why i just proceed to book the car anyway..i believe there's solution for the problem d LOL

Yeah luck very important. But from my experience my hands will always turns electronic stuff into a disaster. I studied electrical n electronics during uni days and during labworks anything i touch will not work (even prev. it's workg fine)
at home..even if i use high end PC..it will still have problem here n there after sometime use..maybe i like to strain the damn thing or what u dunno lah..damn.

Now it started to sound like my body got lotsa bad static.
*
Wow... good luck to you then.. amt is quite sensitive... hope your bad static won't destroy our beloved savvy.. haha sweat.gif

Highway kinda low FC if > 120kmph, how many passenger?
Renault Twingo in France, the D4F is rated 98-octane unleaded petrol. hmm.gif
*
some says 95.. some says 98... In my opinion, 95 is ok... makes my car feel lighter... But if u're going to do a drag race, use 97.. 95 is a little bad in acceleration.. hmm.gif

*
165/60/14... why downgrade?

yea i agree about the scratches.. I have a few too... dents and scratches... but don't bother la... as long as the car is clean and the chasis is still together... it's enuff...

1 year 7 month.. milage is 34K..

ignition coil also suspect got problem cuz having hard time to start.. now the car at SC cuz under warranty
*
I think it's regardless how old and the mileage.. Mine was less than 1 year old (7-8 months) and mileage was less than 7k km, when I encounter this problem... 2 sensors and ignition coil KO together... Luckily warranty covers all of it... laugh.gif

what are the symptoms that you face with your car during that time?

and what are the 2 sensors that you have changed under warranty?

Added on October 8, 2009, 8:22 amone thing would like to check with you guys, everytime you guys start engine, after that turn on air-con, will you hear one "tak" sound the moment you switch on the air-con? air-con kicks-in sound? is it normal?
*
Well... the normal 1 lo... hard to start.. 2nd gear jerking
magnetic speed sensor.. and another 1 forgotten

tak sound is normal... that's when the air con kicks in

For my case, is at 2nd gear, the car will jerk at low rpm of 2nd gear... the jerk is kind of different from the normal jerk we have while changing gears... that is only the symptom of what's gonna come... which is the hard to start problem...
