hola peeps!how's your savvy doin? it's been a while
just now i poured in v-power into savvy's tank. dunno whether it's just placebo effect or not, but i like the sound of the engine roars after that...and moreover, seems like easier to rev up the engine. syiok duh...
while revving and enjoying the sound, this thought came into my mind, what if my savvy is modified with powerful exhaust and open pod since mine's still very very der standard. sure ganaz! sooo...
juz wanna know, what can be done to my savvy at eneos One U? interested to install open pod first. hmmm. plan to go there tomorrow

today me and friend just installed knn drop-in. there is knn open-pod air-filter made for savvy but has to order first. price around 300++ as the eneos guy was not sure. according to him, since i was driving amt, i would be better off with just knn drop-in as open-pod is more for manual transmission. now, i would like to try few more km to test the knn dropin. biggrin.gif but first impression right after install the drop-in, the effect was not that noticeable. hmm

True... i can't take it even when the cars on the right lane is faster than me... haha
yeah after reaching 120... it still feels and sounds the same til 140 or 150... more than that i never experience before...fully depress d... still 150km/h... so sad...
*
hmmm diff car diff top speed as wat i had been told
btw mine before putting in k&n drop in, manage to get around the region of 155-160kmh only along the MEX kl-putrajaya stretch, but now after k&n, once i tried, managed to reach 165 and quite easy too. and i was like shocking.gif ...but dunno the increase in topspeed is really due to the air filter. not sure. oh ya, that's the only mod (and a zaptor vs). the rest still standard. btw, i do pour in shell v-power petrol full tank once in a while

yup. my top speed is at 150 stock. and driving at hovering 130 does drain my petrol fast. 1 tankful ngam ngam reach kl-penang
*
yeah...agree but once u invest something dat adds power to your ride, u'll crave for more (i'm talking about me...huhuhu). and here i am, itching to install full hotbits exhaust system. the FC sure will affected, rite. that's y i'm still juggling, to go or not to go for it. rclxub.gif

Just wanna ask, does Savvy's engine have anything to do with Campro at all?
*
nope...not at all
its Renault engine and so far for me it's quite good. (in pickup and acceleration)

my stock manual can reach 165-170kmh(but it takes a long time).
tried on LPT.

FC, RM50 can go about 520km. (normal driving avg 110kmh)
kl-kuantan-kl
*
that's pretty good FC. nowadays, my best is 16km/l since i'm driving mostly in KL. damansara-putrajaya back and forth

i just fixed the wires that connected to tdc sensor at RS Auto for free of charge. the loose wires had caused me difficulty to start my car these few days. Now hopefully the problem gone once and for all

t4lruum, it's good if you have the money and can afford that. but i don't think most proton SC will allow that. they prefer for u to use their own recommended oil. they may claim that it can void the warranty. that's y, i only changed to fully syn engine oil after my warranty with proton was over

yes , first gear from standstill acceleration and  1st -> 2nd gear lag reduced.

original muffler tank so big , and outer end pipe so smalll , gas stucked.
r3 muffler tank small , but pipe bigger.

damn worth biggrin.gif .

now heard is rm150 , last time price is rm305 , i go to batu kawan race got promote r3 production got rm245 like that.

but afterall after market sure better than stock la , but rm150 got s-flow muffler where to find smile.gif
*
wow, now is rm150?? means the promotion is back alredy la? coz last time i checked with proton ppl (3 weeks ago) the price is still rm305. if rm150 now, very interesting!
btw, just to share with iwan6996, my fc is 16.8 km/l

hi AMT users, doing some survey here.  tongue.gif

1. Normally which mode you guys prefer to use while driving your beloved car? Auto? Manual?

2. At what rpm you guys switch gear? (when upshift gears)

3. When driving using manual mode, during slowing down or taking corners that need to down shift gears, you guys manually do it or let the system down shift the gears by itself?

Cheers.  rclxms.gif
*
1. Manual....quickly after the car move, i switch to manual mode... biggrin.gif

2. hmm...around 3.5rpm-4.5rpm....nowadays, i don't care too much bout fc...haih

3. when slowdown, i let the system shifts itself but when tackling corners, i shift it myself wink.gif

anyone changed their timing belt yet? i was still quoted RM700 by proton SC in Cheras.

Anyone can help me if there's reliable workshop around KL? need to change my timing belt ASAP - nearing 98K km already sweat.gif
*
y dun u go to rs auto at puchong. last time i ask in future for 60k major service how much is the price quotation, they quoted me rm600+ including change timing belt and do major service. That is including normal service. So if just change timing belt, i think must be cheaper. btw, rs auto is recommended shop for savvy as mentioned in savoc.net

How old is your car and what is the mileage right now?
Have you encountered any issue with the AMT so far?
*
my car is almost 3 years. bought in 2007. the mileage is 45k now. issues with amt sometimes like hard to start and suddenly temperature rise to 5 bars (fix it by clean and adjust sensor wire). When those occured, i feel very stress and tension laa. but when my savvy's running smooth and giving no problem like nowadays, sure feel shiok. it's what we call a love-hate relationship...haha thumbup.gif

Rs auto is very good... renautech also very good...

savvy is indeed built tough and proven tough but this is not the reason to simply test the 'toughness' intentionally...
so drive safely while enjoying your ride to the maxxxxx thumbup.gif

Credit to mr tobyboy from savoc.net for the picture of his car..

glad that the tyre didnt fly off during high speed.. so if got some not normal sound come from the back, please rush to nearest SC.. u never know when your wheel can detach one..

*mine also dint yet change.. already check with SC not yet change.. they have system that list car no plet that already change..
*
I also noticed that my car would be hard to start when i parked my car on incline road/hill ground (jalan curam n berbukit). when i wanted to start my car back, it would take few cranks then can start. it felt like the pump or oil were one sided due to the upward ground making the engine hard to start. so now, i'll try to park on a non sloppy and straight road if possible. dunno whether anyone has the same symptom...

not yet try those.. will try it later.. when on non sloppy ground can start like charm? someone told me that 13" rim not suitable for savvy, is it really? maybe i'm hunting for those rim because my ori are pretty badly wacked by previous owner..
*
non sloppy ground does not necessarily confirm can start as i had experienced it already. there were few of let say 2 hard starts out of 10. but on sloppy ground, confirm i experienced hard starting everytime....
guys, do u face problem where when your car's engine running but is idle (maybe bcoz of red light stop or jam) your rpm is hovering over 1.5k rpm. i know it's not normal...

yes. nowadays it happens everyday and everytime i run the car. it will hovering 1.5k rpm but sometime later on it will come back to normal (around 0.9-1krpm). it's just that, everyday sure got like dat. i haven't had the time to check with proton sc though. rclxub.gif
