myvi rim 500 ? expensive ..! izzit 2nd hand one ? shocking.gif

i bought honda civic 1.7 rim 2nd hand ( design like wira SE but in 15" ) only rm350..!
last time i asked myvi SE 1st edition rim, they sold it like RM 400, i think can get lesser if bargain.
try to look at some shops in Klang.. sure got.. even the white savvy rim cost RM400 also.. !

people buy viva because of the mentality of scare to drive large car.. a lot of girls prefer to bought viva because its small, easy parking and most of them dont dare to drive large sedan. even so saga is not that really big!

i always see that most of viva / myvi drivers are girl..! some boys drive it too but most of them mention that its easy driving a car without rear trunk as when they get their driving licence, they do it in a kancil, so they think they are used to trunkless car,

but most of the boys thinking to go for large car after getting their licences..! but only budget permit it!  can u agree on it ?

my 2 cent humble opinion..  cool.gif

no wonder most bus n lorry drivers are boys lah...large car hor.. whistling.gif

<1000kg car, doesnt matter myvi savvy viva kenari kenduri have air bags or abs or not, when u get into high speed accident, probability of rollin over and gettin extensive damage to the chassis is just greater than heavier cars.
So guys, dont speed. I know savvy baby can get up to 170km/h, but it's really not worthy of riskin ur life like tat.

My savvy jerks and loses power..2nd, 3rd and 4th gear...like it's choking on air.
Does it mean the throttle body is dirty and need to be cleaned again??

Jerking not necessarily ignition coil, could be crank sensor as well.

My Savvy 1+ year ago engine was super heavy jerking/knocking, that one was ignition coil problem.

Last few months had light jerking at low revs + hard to start, that one was crank sensor problem.
*
i think standard savvy issues are ignition coil and sensor. Now i have changed ignition coil and modified the sensor..no problem at all.

40k is major service alrdy. try to look at your savvy booklet. you will know what are the things to be changed or replaced or checked at 40k service
*
dont go service centre..usually they changed the things when it's still okay. Go to RS auto, the mechanic will inspect what need to be changed. cost u less than rm200. rclxms.gif

Basically it's the AMT itself... check if he service the amt gear oil in time... and check his knowledge about the car... like put to N and pull handbrake for stops... amt pump overheating... jerking problem... etc etc...
*
never safe to buy a second hand AMT... sweat.gif

Like everyone else here already mentioned, the biggest and possibly only major problem with AMT Savvy is the AMT itself.

Other common problems? Power windows? Yeah still there...but not so bad. My Manual Savvy is nearly 2 years old this coming October. So far, no major issue...but it's quite low mileage..only 21K so far.

Some common Savvy problems, which i have encountered are:
Car jerking in low gear - Sensor or throttle body problem. (Mine has sensor replace once or twice).
Stupid seat belt problem (can't pull it after you wear it...sometimes like that, front seats),
Power window - switch replaced once.
Rear right door - cannot close nicely. A lot of savvy has this problem.
Petrol cover - cannot open!!! **&%$ This is really stupid, when your car runs out of fuel and you can't pump petrol! I use a 20 cents coin to flip it open....so always have a 20 cent coin ready somewhere! But it was fixed since the last service @15,000 km and still working fine now.
Rear lights on constantly - this is not common problem...somehow the switch underneath got loosed, no big deal. Just plug it back. (But  i can't manage to plug the thing underneath the steering wheel and have to send it to a nearby workshop who charge me RM5 for it...LOL.)
*
Let's see..mine is 34k...
jerkin in low gear - i had it. sensor modified + throttle body cleaned (rm50), ignition coil changed to renault brand (rm550) sweat.gif
power window on driver side - i had it, occasionally. Standard issue for all proton cars..nothin u can do about it.. laugh.gif
other that those things..it's a fine rm40k car..good pickup, steady at high speed, good handling, nice stereo, excellent fuel efficiency (16km/l for me).
40k car..what more can u ask for? juz do ur best to maintain it. biggrin.gif

use my trick: press brake, switch from N-1-N few times, then start!
*
haha..tried before. it worked !
But definitely sensor problem. Last time i sent to RS auto, the mechanic modified it i think..sealed with tape to prevent moisture, if i m not mistaken. Dirty throttle body also prevented sufficient air into combustion chamber too...need to clean it. brows.gif

ok here's the cost:

Labor:          RM 100.00
Sealing ring: RM    1.31
Spark Plug : RM  91.64
Rad. Coolant: RM 28.34
Oil Filter:      RM 12.27
Petronas Synthium 800 : RM 101.00
Air Filter :    RM 26.31
Alignment & Balancing: RM 56.00
Service Tax: RM 6.12

Total Damages: RM 423

It specify Total Parts = RM294.47, Total Labor=RM 122.40....not sure how they breakdown.

What do you guys think? Labor very expensive....Parts price ok? The Spark plug are 'Champion' plugs according to them. A tad expensive on the plugs? Maybe oil can get cheaper outside? hmm.gif
*
not juz labor expensive..alignment also expensive...coolant too...sometimes spark plugs don need to be changed at 20k too...prices for the rest i can accept lah... blush.gif
I would only pay rm300 max for 20k service.. cool2.gif

savvy service is once every 10k km?
if my SC ask me to check every 5k km what does that mean ?
that SC is a bit lousy, i ask them to repair this weird sound coming from near my tire 2 times d, one of them till change brake pad but no difference at all
*
no doubt sc is lousy, they change wut u dont need and charge as they want...typical, generate more revenues for their sc means bigger bonus at yr end.
for me, periodically every 1mth check the engine oil, see if the viscosity still alrite or not. use drop in filter, so don hav to worry about a lot. check those brake, battery, coolant steering fluids level...top up whenever needed.
u b fine servicing the car every 10k km...but for me, i service it every 8-9k like tat..since i always stuck in jam..haa.. laugh.gif

previously with ron 97 can get around 16-17km/l for city. brows.gif highway 15-16km/l; maybe 14km/l cos drive more than 120km/h. sweat.gif

but with ron95, fc for city around 14-15km/l. sweat.gif

highway not sure. havent try. wait next week cos balik kampung. biggrin.gif
*
so it's safe to say that the best speed to travel is at 90km/hr...for maximum fuel consumption..
but i doubt that anyone has that kind of patience..tis savvy baby is meant for abuse ! flex.gif
