yes D4F = clio.. well, the problem not from the engine.. its from the robotic arm/accumulator@bomb.. with our superb traffic jam this "special robot" cant withstand our hot climate n without proper cooling make it also jam n suddently cant change gear thats all..

well, if driving in highway all the time sure no problem one.. but driving in kl during rushhour @ 2 hour everyday (go and back from work) sure the system will fail on you sooner or later..

bro mutt.. thats why i said some lucky one.. some not.. depend on how u use.. the heat problem can be solve just by u alway on your aircond to cooldown your engine bay (i dunno how this work)..

lucky u use 70k km++ not yet problem.. savvy is really one good rally car i think.. so nice handling.. mine already clock 119k km, hopefully no problem engine..

wow.. all that u mention mix m-line n h-line lor..

abs, airbag (srs) just available h-line..

audio control steering? i dunno..

well, for me if u got the money and wanna buy new just go for the lite..

just bear in mind no power window.. so need to add one by one later.. alarm also important..

*just back from PSC, my clutch cable in danger zone, tdc need to replace, both my front rim bengkok already.. demmit.. last and really make my pocket bocor later, my backright absorber already leak..

clutch = rm30.71, rim = rm1200~1800, absorber = rm300++

T-T (me crying now buying 2nd car).. planning slowly repair one by one using priority table.. cable>rim>absorber (rim n absorber vice verse)..

well its mentality n support of sparepart.. if savvy is using campro mini@ if campro can fit in savvy sure the sale will boast.. but cause using renault and not all shop dare to touch this engine cause no sparepart@part expensive cause import from france.. lolz..

new savvy come with bodykit.. nicer..

but one most killingpoint is space for people at the back.. between savvy n myvi, i think myvi a bit spacious at the back seat @ that why its body is more bigger n heavier = slower pickup..

myvi rims 500? wow.. mind to tell me where the shop.. is it ori myvi rim?

absorber, prefer to change to wira later..

*if not swap tire will make the tire wear out@"haus" more quickly is it?

nope.. blame on quality.. some said viva better quality.. its mentality of malaysian parent..

daughter wanna buy savvy then dad said why proton? buy perodua better.. myvi big so option they got is viva.. well its because first size of the car, second because of image the company bring.. proton quality still not that good compare with perodua @ toyota..

not that i against it but thats why viva much popular then savvy.. but driving savvy much fun.. some of my friend who drive viva said savvy engine so quite, viva will scream loud (3 cyclinder what)..

well most said viva expensive but i said you pay for what u want @ quality that is.. just some problem here n there (small2 one which cover by warranty - just hassle to go to SC to repair)..

*quality if compare with safety, i choose safety..

some picha from savoc.net.. car bang a cow (the cow die laa..)

me once reach 162kmh for fun2.. steering a bit vibrate(both my front wheel suffer bengkok becoz previus owner like to hit tepi jalan one).. rpm near 5.5k already.. then i remember bout my rear tyre already got punctured @ itu ada cacing getah (stuff to cover a punctured hole), straight away remove my foot and back to 110kmh..

later will upload some of shot of my rim n tyre..

picha of kura2 terbalik @ upside down accident ( 3 life safe - savvy is tough ).. taken from SAVOC NRU forum..

^ thats what we call trying to kill yourself..

actually driving like racing retard itself is one of way to killyourself.. so guys drive safely.. no harm to speed but do it safely @ highway less car..

not post to encourage us to drive careless.. just to share some "action speak louder then word things" = picture proof more then word i think.. so people say savvy not that good, tuv cert just for export version.. think twice.. its still a tough car..

r u comparing viva with save.. viva got all those is it?

for me, standard shock is quite lembut one.. need to change your back spring to make it a bit harder @ wira absorber maybe.. cause normal spring n shock if 5 people inside car look too tenggelam.. not good..

Since Savvy Lite doesn't comes with most of the important stuff... at least to me they are... would we void the 5yr warranty if we install things like alarm, power windows etc?

Yes, yes... i know, some of u may say if those things are important y not get urself the full spec Savvy. Well, some have low budget and there are others who like to install the preferred brands/items lor....
*
its up to you.. if not mistaken warranty on certain item may void.. if alarm, warranty for wiring i think.. for other u need to refer to service centre (when drop for 5k service just ask them better).. yup.. some prefer their own liking.. for me, car is still car.. just new or old..

QUOTE(mutt @ Jun 12 2009, 02:42 PM)
yesterday i made a record for my Savvy FC. RM50 can go 528km!! that's equal to 19km/L!  rclxm9.gif  thumbup.gif

i can get this figure becos of;

1. i lighten my foot (used to be heavy footer)  tongue.gif
2. 15% city the rest on plus highway
3. average speed 90km/h ( for the 1st time i drive really slow on highway. really torture me  shocking.gif

btw mine is AMT. clocked 70k KM alrdy
who's from JB here? may i know where's the best SC for Savvy in JB? got any place like RS auto in Puchong?
*
wow.. same as one of savoc member.. he also clock more then 500km.. the thing is light foot n dont speed more than 90kmh.. savvy truly fuel-saving one.. well just drive as u should..

just done my tdc connector modification.. now no need for me to worry bout the stupid cranksensor which make my car fail to start.. thanks to RS auto (specialist renault engine) in puchong.. just spend rm30 solve the cant start problem.. now cant start like new car..

tomorrow will drive to melaka.. will test out one full tank give me how many km ( just fill up rm44 - full 6 meter this morning)..

the mechanic cut the wire to connector of original tdc (cranksensor) then just use some clipper to stick it n solder.. so no more loose / disconnection problem.. its not just dirty tdc problem i think.. its common for renault engine.. cause he show me another 4x4 engine also same modify the tdc connector..

last saturday went to melaka, my car cant crank.. call mr ho and he fastly respon base on symptom, my starter already kaput.. cost to repair is roughtly rm650.. so i just push start using 2nd gear.. so easy to start one.. mayb next saturday will go to repair/ check what fault then maybe search one replacement 2nd motor starter..

*still not regretting buyng 2nd hand car.. as long as chasis intact n engine problem free..

AMT? if yes.. that what proton SC guy told me.. shift into gear then it will detect the crank.. but not usable for MT.. still problem..

so easier thing bring it to the renault expertise n have it the good way.. problem solved! no more problem of sensor connection (if the sensor kong thats different story)..

can pm me for address or i'll upload the map later.. or just go straight to savoc.net forum n search for RS auto thread..

how do u push start in 2nd gear?
*
first engage 2nd gear n press the clutch pedal.. then someone else push a bit like 5m then depress the clutch pedal n engine will start..

on manual that is..

@dantck, tdc effect just sometime hard to crank.. the bearing if fail then......

That is not true friend. The weight of Myvi and Savvy is almost similar . And Myvi has better pick up than a Savvy. Anyway, for me i prefer Renault engine...my relative's BLM 1.3 Campro minum minyak only....about 8 to 9km/l....sweat.gif
*
bout weight maybe yes, bout pickup no.. if u rev savvy higher i mean to its power range 4000 rpm above then u know which car have more pickup.. cause savy using short ratio gear.. u can feel it, use 2nd gear also can go from still ma.. 20kmh still can use 3rd gear..

if i remember i already put a 10 sec 0-100meter video i think.. sorry if i'm wrong but savvy still good performance car interm of engine just that renault part expensive so many people out there considering buying myvi or viva cause of the engine..

my option there if put campro 1.3 to power savvy sure a lil bit better on bhp.. but sluggish on pickup n fuel consumption.. so its your choice, fun drive+fuel saving but expensive engine or normal drive+so so fuel +cheap engine?

*sorry to say but campro versus renault, sure all here said renault is more expensive if one of it component fail..

non sloppy ground does not necessarily confirm can start as i had experienced it already. there were few of let say 2 hard starts out of 10. but on sloppy ground, confirm i experienced hard starting everytime....
guys, do u face problem where when your car's engine running but is idle (maybe bcoz of red light stop or jam) your rpm is hovering over 1.5k rpm. i know it's not normal...
*
i think i've read this kinda problem in savoc.. tend to be either ECU need to be reset / tdc problem.. forgot already.. need to browse back to search for it..

aigoo.. just 1K km already langgar.. ouch.. sympathy on you.. normal or with body kit? if normal one i think roughly rm300++ without paint..
if with body kit, add another rm350 for it..

after i hear from mr ho (RSauto boss), terkejut one.. so different the price.. protong got rm350 just for stamping a big their own logo on renault original packaging i think.. huhu.. not a good thing to do la protong..
