LoL! YA! I read about this somewhere. That's the reason i'm not asking any opinions from any petshop. I found this thread to be the most informative. So i'm sticking to it.

Howdy! erm...few questions here that i would like to ask...here goes...
1. How often do you guys feed your gliders? Mostly night? Are there any time interval in a day? 2. Do they poo and pee very often while they are out playing with you? 3. After they are bonded with you, will they bite your friends that wanted to touch it? (i mean in a very gentle manner where it wouldn't be sudden) 4. I've seen few posts about Pet Shack that is located at Sunway Mentari area. I live nearby there. So is it wise for me to go to the shop if i would like to get some advice? 5. How often do you guys need to trim their nails? 6. Lastly, are beddings very important or gliders usually prefer to sleep in their pouch and/or shirt, blanket etc...? Cause i know there are a few suitable beddings which are suitable for gliders. I've actually got 2 roborovski Baby and Baby Fat! Can i use the same bedding as the one i've used for my robo? It is woods shaving. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!! This post has been edited by glen.siew: Aug 26 2008, 09:49 PM |

QUOTE(Jamien @ Aug 26 2008, 09:55 PM) 1. Twice a day lor, once at night and once in the morning. Then when she's sleeping I'll take her out in her bonding pouch. Haha!! thanks for that hasty reply!! Wasn't really concern about that though cause used to take care of my friend's guinea pig....they also pee and poo on you like mad! HAHAHA!! I guess their pee pee amount shouldn't have much difference than a guinea pig! Yeap..will surely pay a visit to their shop soon! And ya! shouldnt use those beddings already...there are alot of pet stores out there using wood shaving for gliders..bad bad... 2. They ALWAYS poo and pee on you. They poo and pee anywhere they like. And they prefer to pee and poo the most on their favorite trees. That would be you lar. This is the downside of owning a suggie so if you can't stand it better not get one lor. You can wait for them to poo or pee in their cage before taking them out if you prefer. But that doesn't stop them fro pooing or peeing on you much. 3. Well, depends on the character of your suggie. Your friends will smell unfamiliar to your suggie and your suggie will feel insecure. Some may bite but some won't. 4. Pet Shack is the best pet shop. You can go there to ask for nail clipping service, get suggie stuff. 5. Errr... Bedding isn't that important. Because your suggie isn't suppose to touch the bedding at all. It's supposed to be in a separated level. |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Aug 26 2008, 10:11 PM) 1. I only fed my glider once at night only... but during the day I will throw some treat into her pouch incase she's hungry Thank you Thank you and a million Thank you! Yeap! Will do. Will go to Petshack to look look after i finish my class! xD 2. Yes they do. They never did their business inside their pouch so once u take them out from the pouch they will do their business and they will just pee n poo whenever they like *the rest agree with Jamien* 3. It depends on ur suggie character. All glider have diff attitude and temperament. Some will only relax on their owner and wont let the other touch them while some just being nice to anyone 4. Yes, please go to Petshack for any advised and question that u have. They will assist u and give lots of advises that u need before decided to have one for ur own 5. Depends... if u feel their nails are too long and give u lots of scratches then u might take them to trim their nail 6. Glider usually sleeps in their pouch and bedding u can go for Breeder Celect. Wood shaving is not good for glider Hope this will help |

Howdy everyone!! You guys are having a gathering soon eh~ Cool! Too bad i don't have a sugar glider.
Anyway, got a few questions here. Well, currently i'm in the last year of my degree program and will graduate end of this year. Most probably will start working during March or April depending on my job hunting result. Since most probably i will be joining one of the Big 4 accounting firms, i will not be at home during the weekdays from 8 till 6.30 in the evening. However, i will have free time during the weekends. Do you guys think i will be a suitable SG owner judging from my daily schedule? Thanks guys! |
