This is the post I'm looking forward to. Yes, it's supposed to be the first mission ( Casino Royale ) for Bond to be 007.So, I think the gadgets, personality and presentation of the Bond character himself is on development. These are all excusable base on that fact. Hey at least there is the Car, the Phone, and the Girl.
Maybe in Bond23 may wrap it all up thus producing the true matured Bond.
IMHO, they trackback the Bond timeline same as Star Wars Saga trackback to episode 1 because of depletion of the attraction factor in the movie itself.
Its becoming of a ALIAS type of espionage (between organizations) from (weapons of mass destruction) type of movie.
