ok, im done with flashing my wap54g to dd-wrt.

Now, both wap54g n riger modem use 192.168.1.1 to access web setup. When i key in 192.168.1.1 from a wireless client, it loads the page for riger modem.

How do i set the dd-wrt so that probably i can access it also with 192.168.2.1 or something similar, while 192.168.1.1 is maintained for riger modem?

TQ

hie.. could there be any way i could add some sort of information bar on top of browser f whoever connected to the routher.. im on wrt54gl, dd-wrtv24

i tried the AnchorFree ads... which inserts a small adverts on each page of users. i would like to have something similar, but like an announcement to whoever connected to the router... n change the msg whenever required.

Added on August 11, 2009, 3:57 amon a another matter... DD-WRT tutorials on RFlow really suckzz

here it says i must go to Administrator tab, then head to Services sub-tab.

i really cant find it on mine... i cant even find the word RFlow/MACupd anywhere on the site. need help pls.

Part 1 (setting your router to send the traffic information to a local PC):

The first thing you need to do is go to the "Administration" tab of DD-WRT and then the "Services" sub-tab. Look for the "RFlow / MACupd" section. Enable RFlow and MACupd . Set the "Server IP" to the IP address of the computer on your network that will be gathering the data. There also will be options for a "Port", "Interface", and "Interval". Just leave those at the defaults. Click "Save Settings" at the bottom of the screen. Now your router should be sending packets to the computer with the IP address you specified.

Dude you should upgrade to the newer builds, v24-sp1 has so many issues its not even funny

OMG, i didn know there's new builds. which one is the latest? i check their website, v24 sp1 is the latest....

can u pls give me link to the latest one, as i could not identify which one is their latest build. icon_question.gif

Added on August 13, 2009, 1:19 ami found newer builds... kinda hard to get to it. dd-wrt should organize their download page for easy access.

upgrade to latest dd-wrt.v24-12548_NEWD_mini.bin

i hope this one is stable... coz i wanna do wireless repeating using my wrt54gl n wap54g.

tnx anyway.

Added on August 13, 2009, 4:24 amHie. i have a tiny problem with wireless repeater. i manage to set my wrt54gl as primary, and wap54g as secondary unit to run the repeater successfully.

i did not use any sort of encryption except MAC add filtering... and i have set both unit with the exact MAC add list to filter. unfortunately, i still have someone not in the list accessing the router. any possible explanation why can he still connect bypassing MAC filtering?

HI. can u guys suggest me a good build that works perfectly for repeating purpose.

there is so much (NEWD,VINT,EKO) builds out there, n im having trouble to determine which one to use.

Currently, the latest build eko 12548 micro on my wap54g is the secondary router used as repeater. but mac filtering is not working at all.

so need suggestions. tq

Using macro will be lack of features

yup. i know i know. still too much to learn btw. tnx.

i just successfully set up NoCatSplash, redirecting it to my blog. But one problem im facing is tht it doesn't goes directly to my blog, instead to my homepage(google). Then i can access other websites too for several seconds(+/- 15s) before it loads my blog.

Any idea y this happens? or is this normal?

hi MX510

do u play CS? it seems i cnt play CS while on LAN(whereas my friends on wireless can play multiplayer). I think dd-wrt is blocking CS by default... coz i switched to Linksys and Tomato firmware, i can play well. Unfortunately, i have to stick with DDwrt.
