I got this router for free from a friend. It is because that router is soo junk with its original firmware. Other than basic use, you cannot rely on this for additional features, but hell, it is not in the list.

QUOTE(klseet @ Sep 29 2010, 12:57 PM) That's why your friend give you free lo I am actually considering D-link DIR-825. Still think about to buy or not since I didnt use wireless much. It seems that this Aztech is just sufficient for me.If you want to play with dd-wrt, just go get a TP-Link-941ND and flash it: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=36660529 For other dd-wrt users, latest 26Sep10 BS built is out already: ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V...9-26-10-r15279/ This post has been edited by billytong: Sep 29 2010, 01:13 PM |

no I am not looking for a vlan router. I am looking for a decent router to share my printer/usb devices + bigger wifi range+ QoS. In this case the 825 fit in what my need. Asus has crappy firmware, it is just a router that only be good if u flash it to dd-wrt. I am not ready void warranty or to wait 1 year to flash it.
but there is indeed a little bit of regret for buying RB250GS. I know the winbox thing. but still, those router do not offer the usb sharing + wifi. Since I already have RB250GS, a decent home router should be sufficient. fyi, oreomambo did mention about how to setup the vlan 500 in the unifi thread, perhaps you should check out. |
