Yup, I've been using SP2 for about a month too. In fact, I'm using the latest available release:
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/18/10) std-nokaid - build 14826M NEWD Eko
It's stable and working fine for me. biggrin.gif

so u mean that when i change my modem to bridge mode i cant access my modem via router? u mean i need to get a modem which has 4ports so that i can just plug directly to the modem to access it?

Asus RT-N12 and WRT160NL processing power is more or less similar. RT-N16 on the hand has much better performance but comes with a price.

You can still access your modem's configuration page while using bridge mode: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Acces...m_Configuration

does this DD-WRT has some feature like tomato that can detect what IP is using how many bandwidth?
*
Yeah need to use rflow for that features it's a software
*
Need not use rflow which requires a PC running to collect data. You can run a script with dd-wrt that monitors usage per IP.

Hi to dd-wrt sifus,

I'm junior dd-wrt user only not technie, currently flashed dd-wrt on Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N & WHR-G300N for Streamyx.

I'll be changing to UniFi next week, just want to know has anyone managed to replace the TM's DIR-615 router with other router with dd-wrt and the IPTV still working ?

I really want to replace that TM's DIR-615, hope some sifu here can share some experience and how to setup & configure dd-wrt for UniFi.

Thanks in advance !  notworthy.gif

You'll want a router that fully supports DD-WRT, a broadcom hardware based router. This will enable you to use the features VLAN ports and tagging in order to replace TM's DIR-615 router. Internet uses VLAN 500 and IPTV uses VLAN 600.

DD-WRT doesn't support VLAN number with 3 digit.
*
It depends on the chip. Atheros (like what TP-Link TL-WR941ND uses) does support 3 digits and you can enter these numbers directly into the DD-WRT web interface.

Then how does KLSeet use his TP-Link TL-WR941ND (with DD-WRT firmware) to connect to UNiFi?
He mention in his guide, can connect to UNiFi, the only thing that doesn't work is IPTV.

I'm assuming a differences in firmware/hardware revision requires a change in procedure to get it working. I don't have any TP-Link units so I cannot confirm.

Hi Shawty, did you manage to make it work for vlan tagging on 500 and 600 for both internet and IPTV? I recently bought 1043nd v2 and read through details on klseet websites too. Found out that it only works for internet (500) and not for the IPTV.. have not try myself to flash it to DD WRT yet.
*
I can confirm that it is possible to get it working for both 500 and 600 on DD-WRT but you'll need to use custom/modified switch drivers. More details here if anyone is interested: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=86919
