There is no right or wrong opinion as long as you are honest (and that is the most important thing). Everyone hears and values things differently, so one shouldn't totally rely a single person's opinion.
Compare to many other forumers, I don't really have that impressive of an audio rig. I do have a few IEM, but they can't make up a rig by themselves.
Yup, that's why I wrote my own short reviews regarding the JBL since I can't really find much reviews about it. Anyway, here's my conclusion about the ranking of the IEMs according to my own preference.
1st place~Sennheiser IE8: Wide soundstage , deep bass with high clarity, low microphonic effect due to soft wire material, noise isolation 60-70%. Warm sound signature.
2nd place~Klipsch Custom-3: Mediocre soundstage and bass, high clarity, has microphonic issue but not that obvious as the hook helps reduce it to min, noise isolation 70-80%. Bright and clear sound signature.
3rd place~ JBL reference 220: soundstage on par of the C3, bass of 60-70% of that of IE8 tweaked to half knob, clarity not as gd as both IE8 and C3 yet pretty gd, microphonic effect pretty obvious( by rubbing slightly one can hear the noise), noise isolation 70-80%. Sound signature in between bright and warm.
4th place~ Shure E2G/SCL2/SE102: soundstage not bad, bass kinda weak(improve with Fiio E5 pairing), clarity inferior to JBL reference 220 but better than Creative EP-630, microphonic issue is conspicuous even though it's over the ear type, yet slightly better than the JBL 220, noise isolation 60-75%. Bright sound signature.
5th place~ Creative Ep-630: soundstage so so only, strong bass but clarity kinda low, sound muffled, noise isolation not as gd as the Shure and JBL. Warm sound signature.
Just my opinion on the IEM I have
