well guys, i just subscribe to maxis broadband (RM138 with the small modem). I just wanna know how can i connect my 360 to LIVE since this modem is plug n play. Just state the steps that i can follow coz im not really good with networking. Used to subscribe to screamyx but for almost a month now i can connect to the internet.

i *think* you needa USB router. thats why i skipped the USB modem and stuck with the ZTE. lol...

Aiyish bole la connect x silap aku ko kena connect kat pc/laptop first. And then from pc/laptop do direct using ethernet cable connect to xbox 360 and use share connection option on your usb modem.

owh, so aku just get Ethernet cable yang panjang tu pastu straight ke 360.

yup connect it from PC/laptop to XBOX 360

Guys, I know this is not the right place to post this since I am a PS3 owner but PS section not that helpful. They expect me to read through hundreds of pages of posts for a simple question when they could have answer me direct.

If I am using maxis USB modem, will the connecting PS3 to laptop works also? Thanks.

First of all welcome to the Xbox forum, IMO Off course can.. its the same wheither you have Xbox 360 or PS3.

Maxis broadband is good for surfing, but when you try to play Xbox Live with guys using streamyx,,,you will be lagging and sometime,, timeout..

Im not sure about celcom broadband bro never had a experience on it.
FMO i think it's the same setup as Maxis Broadband.
Maybe someone in this forum can help you.

i'm using celcom broadband. just connect to broadband in your laptop/pc. share the connection and then connect the XBOX LAN cable to pc. then you can try connect your LIVE.

i cannot play LIVE multiplayer because in my area only 3G (384 kbps). so i just connect LIVE to update my gamerscore

just wanted to share my experiences here when using the alternative broadband (other than streamyx)

I'm currently using the Izzi package, and most of the time it's quite decent.The USB modem is connected to my pc, and then a ethernet cable will connect the pc to the xbox. i'll just have to enable the conenction sharing capability from the network settings in control panel and i'm good to go. but of course, my pc would have to be switched on in order for live to be online

i never try...i try GOW...cannot..even to connect to LIVE will take time

your connection might not be v try and use a 3g phone and check the signal strength of 3G signal

hi folks, sorry to dig up an old thread, but would need some assistance...

long story short, i've no longer have much options left for an internet service provided, and ended up with the maxis broadband (the usb modem). i'm aware that the setup should be to connect through the pc/laptop and enable internet sharing...

however, i'm on the macbook and haven't had any success getting the internet sharing to work. i've tried both wired (sharing through ethernet) and wireless (sharing through airport > xbox wireless adapter). both doesn't seem to work for me...

would like to know if anyone has got this to work. getting depressed, and desperate, with gow2 being just round the corner ...
