QUOTE(europology @ Jun 21 2008, 01:41 PM) Compulsory for 1st yr. However, you may opt to go home but you still have to pay for the hostel rentals. I see. Because I heard that the hostels in the campus are more strict. Spot checks are often done to see if the students are in the room. My mom's friend used to take care of the aman damai campus and she said she had to go check every night. And I got aman damai. Spotchecks are very rare. It also depends on your luck. Those banned items like electrical kettles must be stored properly when you're not using it. Reshuffling or not, it's all written in your letter. The Sungai Dua entrance gate will be closed upon 12 midnight. However, the gateway opposite the RST complex remains open for 24 hrs. Alright gotta check on it then. It's kinda scary to stay in aman damai as my bro's gf said many negative stuff about it. She's staying in tekun and she said tekun is much nicer to stay... *gulps* and how's the toilets? i know it's cubicle type but are the door the ones u can lock or is it the curtain type? thanks again |

are aman damai rooms assigned for two ppl or will there be one person? my bro's gf used to stay there she said there's three beds but only two ppl staying. and it's super hot because there's only one small, tiny fan. if i get the lower bunk for the double decker bed it's even hotter.
that's 3 years ago, wondering if it's refurbished in these few years... she loves scaring me >.< |

i went to the bank and told the security guard (who is taking care of the forms) that i wan to pay to usm. then he gave me the slip pembayaran bil which looks exactly like the one in the hand book.
but my slip is not the colourful one. all white... i asked bout the cd. they say they'll only give them to us during the orientation... |

i feel the guards at the gate near the hostels are stricter cos the probability of students driving in is higher. The sungai dua gate is quite strict too cos i've seen many times the guards stopped cars without stickers and all the cars with stickers had queue up behind. haha. i wonder why they don't use the space at the side to talk to the drivers
