hostels(main campus), some are good, some are not so good... which hostel did u get?
u get air-con in hotel not hostel.

not sure about major and minor stuff (my course doesn't have major and minor) if i'm not mistaken, u will get to choose during second year.

mass com should have laptops, u guys will be doing a lot of presentation and editing stuffs, if i'm not mistaken la.

fyi, usm is not really big, u'll know the difference if u had been to other ipta. no need to walk, got buses going around the campus, but sometimes waiting for buses costs u lots of time and at peak hours, need to squeeze yourself onto the bus or wait for the next bus.

Added on July 18, 2012, 7:48 pmu dont really learn much during 1st year, real learning starts during 2nd year. there's a huge difference between 1st year and 2nd year. construction industry is a tough field, i think one of the purpose is to train and prepare the students mentally or physically for their future job.

everyone can learn foreign language. those that dont want to take up ko-k, they can choose to take up foreign language.

there are two system, first one is the package system where u need to complete all three level, each sem one level. the second one u dont have to complete all three level, u can stop at first level.

did u buy the pin no? if i'm not mistaken, u need to buy the pin no 1st. then u need to open a bank islam account. your seniors will give u briefing during the orientation. if u havent done anything, your seniors will help u to apply.

RST are almost the same, same room same design.

i thought x ray will be done in usm?

yes, main campus got x ray machine.

last time, i took the document posted to my house to cimb bank then showed it to the staff.

when u apply for ptptn, u will be asked whether u want to receive WPP or not. if u pick yes, later a letter will be posted to your house. then u take the letter or whatever that is included in the letter, go to the bank that u are asked to collect your money from. understand?

no need, but better be early, who knows u might miss out something important.

i stay in RESTU but last time broom and mop were not there, maybe u can borrow in office. u can bring them or just borrow from neighbour. always prepare some scrap clothes to clean up your room. iron will be provided, dont worry. i never use iron although already staying for 2 years.
