QUOTE(SookLee @ Jun 23 2008, 01:36 AM) yaya.. show me.hahaz, coz she will kill u n Not kiLl me lar during mhs (orientation) better u wear long skirt.. after mhs u cn wear anything that u want.. not mini skirts though.. nti all the lecturers juling mata. hehe. even on mondays some of my friends did not follow the formal dress code.. but u must avoid the pak guards laa.. nti kena saman. hehehe but anyway, u will find that it will be a hassle to wear skirts u know... coz to walk around campus, well, better wear jeans or trousers la. like me.. i like to wear jeans to class.. easier to walk with on mondays my chinese friends like to wear baju kurung.. easier.. xpyh pakai black and white pun. actually its easy to differentiate juniors and seniors on mondays. juniors are those pakai black and white. |

QUOTE(litaco @ Jun 23 2008, 12:10 PM) Sounds not bad...can i ask 1 more?? well.. we (kimia industri) learned more on the basic theories and such.. if i'm not mistaken engineering learned more on the processes.kimia industri and chemical engineering, wad r the dif?? if we took kimia industri, can we work in petrochemical field, like petronas, shell n others in oil refinery ? among the subjects. that i took were organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemitry. thats the basic. then i took environmental, corrosion, catalytic, food chemistry, etc. every semester we will be going to the lab, so make sure u like to do that, ok. we chemists r more to the lab kinda things. some of my friends work in petronas and shell, but they work in the lab. QA analysts, etc. engineers, if i'm not mistaken, they work on the field. |

Added on June 24, 2008, 10:24 am QUOTE(TzeHu| @ Jun 23 2008, 10:35 PM) thanx for the advise.. again i repeat, it is better to wear long skirt during orientation.. some of the seniors that are in charge of you may be very garang one... knee length i'm not sure, better ask other seniors, didnt they mentioned it in those papers that u got?stil feeling sad for not getting architecture, though btw, whr can i get the instrument, materials etc. for this landscape course? buy 2nd hand from seniors? QUOTE(duncan880409 @ Jun 25 2008, 10:12 PM) ya there is a marrybrown at meranti arcade in UTM, but close alraedy, now open a stall from nelson (sweet corn one), agree, KRP is very convinent, i live there first year, but second year have been dump to K16 because no quota, lol.. so who live at KRP, please active to remain there.. i herad that, this year they open college application with KRP 0 seat, that mean initially already full sy duduk krp for 3 years in row. tp since pengetua baru, dgr2 cerita dia banyak masukkan student2 dia dlm krp (sains sukan). but dunno true or not. maybe simply there are too many new students, so no place for seniors. huhu. imagine yesterday masa daftar i tried to apply for kp, FULL. tried for kolej 12, also FULL... sgt pelik. huhu.so now i'm in K9. haih... tp xpe, dekat dgn burger.. |

QUOTE(duncan880409 @ Jun 25 2008, 11:20 PM) eh.. not 8 am meh? haha... i never apply online, juz watched some of my friendsAdded on June 27, 2008, 7:39 am QUOTE(BridgestoneRE711 @ Jun 26 2008, 03:52 AM) unfortuantely , i dont think so . well, i'm not a sportsman.. i juz join sutra and fiestra, thus i got the quota.. huhu.. well , one thing i would like to comment on the hostel stuff ,perhaps it is not the real thing to talk in this topic . but there is a need to discuss and make it clear . malaysian are getting somewhere off in their mind when they are setting standards for something . well i have been to several library , and what i realized is they don't allow short pants with slippers . well , i do understand short pants is not recommended for non-muslims , but i do take the slippers are not allowed as stupid . the real meaning behind library is studying , and if u are having such strict conditon , can this be called as an 'invitation' with open arm to urge the public to come in . sometimes we need to think different , library is for ppl to study and read books , if we encourage people to go , loosen the rules , because the objective is to study only . and this type of mentality happened in utm and unfortunately in KRP . the place i am staying . it is stupid enough to limit the quota to sportsman , the pengetua of the college is sort of looking into the name of the college rather then looking into the quality of a college . To be honest, a hostel is something for studenst to live , the objective is to stay during the studies . becasue of the pengetua mentality , we as architecture student who doesnt have fixed studio period will need to travel by shuttle bus to go to our studio becasue we only can get K17 which take 15 minutes to reach the studio or our place by bus . library cannot wear slippers meh? i did wear them, but at nights only la... during the day i wore sandals Added on June 27, 2008, 7:47 am QUOTE(litaco @ Jun 26 2008, 07:31 PM) Even i ask the chem teacher in my form6 schl, she aso agree dat those from chem industri is becoming teacher/leaturer and working in lab only. And the lab in msia r limited=hard to find job...lolx well, if u dont like to work in a lab, thats too bad for you.. bcoz for 3 years u will be going to the lab..Btw,I heard Faculty of Science in on middle of the campus, and got alot leng lui hanging ard 1 oh...is dat true??lolx...haha Wad smr i nid to fill up and bring to UTM besides those they mail to u??link pls if on9 seriously, i doubt ur teachers words, no offense.. coz i got real evidences u know.. other than chemistry subjects we will be taking management, marketing, entrepreneurship, etc so from those subjects there are many jobs that will be waiting for u, trust me.. for example, one of my friends opt to work in jusco as their management trainee, another work in a company as marketing production exec, etc r u chinese? if u r, when u come here, ur seniors will be helping u and guiding u and give u past yr papers, notes, etc.. thats their culture there This post has been edited by nururu: Jun 27 2008, 07:47 AM |
