hi. i am thinking of grabbing myself an XBOX 360 here in New Zealand, and i got some questions to ask you all sifus out there.

is it possible for me to operate the machine if i bring it back to Malaysia? (not issues about power plughead)
what i mean is im concerned about the software stuffs....

i guess even for the firmware changed, i dont think u can get any NTSC/U or PAL games in malaysia. unless they have ways to change your region on the machine

in the end, i still have to import my titles, because malaysia doesnt sell Xbox titles in NTSC/PAL display?

You can only play region free games. Bottom line, you will still have to obtain PAL games. Even with a modified firmware, it doesn't change the region of your PAL machine.

yup. eventhough its a modified machine.. it still need a correct region titles. i guess better u buy at malaysia.

New Zealand is PAL version. PAL games are more expensive and difficult to find here. Buy Asian one.

most of the 360 games here in malaysia for Asia xbox360 ( NTSC J ) , but there is NTSC & PAL 360 games available here which is "REGION FREE GAMES" @ NO REGION PROTECTION...

however , if u plan to modded ur 360 to play all games...it`s just pointless cause modded console still depending on region lock for the genuine software.

the better choice for u , sell ur PAL 360...and buy asia version here in malaysia...and trust me u can get variety titles...lastest and updated games here...especially when u go to Gamers Hideout located at cineleisure mutiara damansara , KL...

Is it same as Xbox (not Xbox 360) and PS2 slim if I wanna buy in Australia?

Because i saw here is very cheap for secondhand at cash & converters

well bout xbox and ps2 is diffrent...u can modd the console here and u can play all originals from all region without any probs...yet u can play aheeem* games also...

do take note here...xbox games almost vanish...kindda hard to find it nowdays...unless u search for second hand games for the xbox...same as ps2 originals also...very hard to find it here in malaysia...unless the aheem* version still easy to get...

So thats mean i can buy here is it? and one more thing which part in KL shop can i modd or unlock the region for Xbox and PS2 console.
