As a previous owner & the first user of that casing in this forum [or maybe in malaysia laugh.gif ] i would say no.

I used that casing for only 3 month, then sell it back.

The reason?
bad airflow + bad thermal performance. sweat.gif
*
Really!!!!?? That's odd. My friend is using the normal Aurora and the airflow is fine. I thought the internal for both Auroras is similar. sweat.gif

yeap, that's the one.anybody knows how much is the price?
*
This case is priced at RM499 in All IT and also ATE. It was priced at RM699 during last year's PC fair. I guess this case is not selling and most of the shops are clearing stocks.

I had a chance to "molest" this case during my trip to All IT. The internal construction is quite solid (thick aluminum), but the exterior is mostly made out of plastic. One can easily get a full aluminum lian li case at much lower price. rolleyes.gif

design not bad what?.  whistling.gif

the body Suppose to be a big case but intenal space very limited to me.. same size as CM Elit i guess...
still consider worth for money since only 110 unit available in the market (not sure in LY or in malaysia) rolleyes.gif
*
Only 110 units in the market? you sure about that?

Anyway, design is kinda cool if you ask me, but too much plastic turns me off. wink.gif

err.. not very sure tongue.gif , some1 told me like that lah.. dont remember who. sweat.gif

I think if you want the design, raidmax ninja is not a bad choice and in addition it is much cheaper than the Asus case, although the Ninja is made of SECC and not aluminum.

Vento is way overprice. If it is cheaper (RM300), then i would recommend it to people.

Struggling between a nice ATX case ( RM400) + Mobo( Rm 450)= Rm 950

VS a nice Shuttle SG33G5 = Rm 1200-1300
*
If you wanna pop in a high end graphic card into your new rig, i would advise against Shuttle. I have a shuttle and the temperature is really bad, even with mid range graphic card like 7600GT and a stronger cooling fan for the CPU.

I own a Tsunami Dream. I advise against buying this casing, as the internal is really out of date. You should try Lian Li.

hahahha .. then are u gonna get it as well ... there's few new releases that i hope would come to ATE sooner ...

btw ur mod on Tsunani are awesome .... can't get it out from my mind ...

hhahaha ..
*
I love the exterior design, but internal is seriously bad. Cable management for this casing can be quite challenging. sweat.gif
Anyway, would like to own a Lian Li v600 smile.gif

hmm...... i think ill buy the tsunami dream casing. bt anyways, thx for ur promp reply. i really appreciate it. i dont really mind if the casing internals are old. as long as its cooling ability it good, the casing looks good, then ill buy it. lolz
*
Forgot to mention, the cooling for this casing is superb, especially if you convert the top USB panel into fan blow hole.

V600 ..... It's a nice one with the sleek curve front panel finished with lots of ventilation for optimun cooling.

The only downside is it can't accomodate HSF that has height exceed 8cm ... if not I would have got that case to play around already ...

Can do like what Uncle did in one of his worklog. brows.gif

Question:
Between CM690 and TJ04, which one should i take?
Both also SECC case, but CM690 has better internal design while TJ04 is more modable and and has a nice aluminum bezel.
Headache sweat.gif

Then it's personal preference issue ..
*
I know, just wanna see what are the opinions of the majority forumers

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Dec 7 2007, 12:38 AM)
personally....i think the only silverstone cases worth buying would be the TJ07, 09 and 10.

i really dont understand why silverstone are making SECC cases. they arent even affordable....the logo makes the prices go up higher than what its worth.

my vote goes for the 690. even if theyre the same price...id still go for 690. more worth it imho.
*
Actually, what you said is true. TJ04 has nothing special to shout about except the fact that the front bezel is carved out by diamond cutter (not sure though)
And 690 has superior airflow and better cable management, not to forget it's cheaper too.
Think i'll go for CM690 then. Thanks for your opinion.

What is the price of TJ04?

If compare to CM690, IMHO, CM690 is much better design than TJ04 with mesh front panel for better airflow.
*
i think is RM200 plus.
TJ04 has better build quality, but it's an old design.

haha by spacious, i mean not too cramped, and it can hold at least 3 HDDs biggrin.gif
becoz most slim case can only support up to 2 HDDs only smile.gif
*
I think you better get a small ATX size casing eg Lian Li PC-05. Cooling is definitely good, and more room for expansion.

Other options:
CS238 FULL ALUMINIUM HTPC CHASSIS Link
Can fit 4 hdd (5 if you can find the converter), also the cooling is superb, as well as the built quality (4mm thick aluminum)

er, i dun think that PC-05 is small..after all, the size is almost same with my previous PC-G7..

but the 2nd choice is nice..hope it wont be too cramped..

any other choices? if possible, i prefer alu rather than secc tongue.gif

There are hardly any MATX casing which suits your need. I think your best bet is the casing i recommended above.

He's very busy with his work right now. You guys must understand that he's not a full time modder. He does have his own proper job.
