Cooler Master Centurion 5 seems pretty good. Only RM180  icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi Guys,
I started another thread asking about PC casing before E-J@1 pointed me to this thread.

So, here goes my question again:
(1) I am planning to get a PC with the following spec:
Intel C2D E6850
ASUS P5K SE
2GB 667 DDR2
WD 250GB
Winfast 8500GT 256MB
LG DVD + DVDRW

I have done some research and seems to like the following casings:
(1) ASUS TA951 (no much people is talking about it)
(2) CM Elite
(3) CM Centurion 5

The PSU I have in mind is Gigabyte 460W.

P/S: Budget for chassis + PSU = < RM400

I wonder which one would give the best air flow?

Thanks in advance.

I think it's a bit hard to fork out a recommended PSU for you while getting the case from your list ..

Because u are running a good system with those nice hardwares that definitely required a good PSU to keep it healthy, I bet u don't want to screw up just for the sack of cutting PSU budget down ...

U could live with even cheaper case temporary but don't get a least quality PSU ...

Get power supply that cost about RM300 for peace in mind rather than afterward u gone through the hassle to buy a new PSU ...

As for the case wise, if u could push up the budget a bit more then a CM Elite series is definitely could goes into ur purchase list ...

btw why DDR2 667 not DDR 2 800 ??

If that's the case, which PSU do you recommend?

As for the RAM, I bought those some time back so I am reusing them smile.gif.

As far as I am concerned, the performance between 667 and 800 is not that noticeable in day-to-day operation smile.gif.

That's the problem loh .. if anytime he gonna power up a faster graphic card .. that time go buy another PSU again ???

Look into future long use if one is not gonna upgrade often, and I'm sure he isn't the type that upgrade so often ..

that's the best suggestion to secure his investment for now and coming year or two .. .a PSU could last 5 years men ,,,,

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the reply.

I don't upgrade my PC often. I normally will buy the entire PC if there's a need (of course I don't do that often either, $$$ mah smile.gif.

By the way, Doom, what's wrong with that Gigabyte PSU? Is 460W enough for my spec?

Thanks.
