Just wondering, how do we know whether a casing is going to fit an ATX mobo or its design to fit the mATX version?

Is the V600 able to fit an ATX mobo?Cause from their website, they state that it will fit P4 mobo and ATX but from ATE's price list, its categorized as mATX..
*
V600 fits all ATX & m-ATX mobo, ATE price list --> wrong laugh.gif

usually it's kinda hard for the manufacturer itself to state wrong things about their products icon_rolleyes.gif cause posting the product details isn't easy --> going through several process (which if got any error will be detected at any stage)

outdoorxplorer can tungpang help me c c what LL casing selling at ATE there XD.

ATX means reduce the casing board and keep the layout suitable to slot in those hardware insde. Ic, i though casing more spacing = nice air flow...
*
more spacing doesn't mean it got nicer air flow, air flow doesn't depends on your casing size, small casing also can have better air flow than bigger casing...

a good air flow determines by how well u managed ur cable inside (so it doesn't restrict air flow) & what type of fan u using nod.gif the fans u using are actually resulting a significant air flow result

if using 100cfm intake & exhaust fan:
--> ur case will have 100 cubic feet of fresh air going inside ur casing every minute
--> ur case will let 100 cubic feet of hot air out of ur casing every minute

Don't know those guys how to do it.

laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

they all hides the cable at the 5" bay drive --> that's why u don't see em

You don't want that 25CM fan?
Easy.

Take out the sidepanle that comes with the 25CM fan, buy a new arcylic in any advertisement makers shops, cut the new arcylic to the same size of the original arcylic that comes with the LL casing, then put the new arcylic on the sidepanel back, then wallah! laugh.gif

QUOTE(akachester @ Apr 6 2007, 09:29 AM)
Great idea as well.Wondering how much would that cost..Will need to find him later i guess if i really buy that. But need to wait another 1-2 weeks before i could get them.Anyway, is having a side fan recommended?I mean, it makes alot of difference in term of airflow and temperature?
*
the best thing about Lian Li transparent side panel is that the acrylic is riveted...

it's easy to get it off, wait till u want to put em back --> the acrylic will crack laugh.gif

wanna use screws, fine wait till how fugly it looks laugh.gif

remember my black parade, the transparent side panel should have been riveted, but somehow Ianho couldn't do it, cause the acrylic crack, dunno if he got a new method solving it icon_rolleyes.gif

so Ianho, already found the solution??? brows.gif i bet lotsa ppl gonna send their 007 to replace with a new acrylic

Full tower blink.gif 800 upwards is a little too expensive to me...  How about Silverstone TJ06? the price tag is a little over 500, still pretty much acceptable by me blush.gif
*
go for it, the case can fit:
  1. 5.25" x 5
  2. 3.5" x 2
  3. 3.5" x 6

two things i dislikes bout this case:
  1. Weight = 11kg (case alone --> + psu + 5 hdds + 2 odd, damn heavy for me)
  2. SECC

That also depend the heat level of the gc used ... if the case fit with extra hot producing gc ... a side patent fan is a big help that doesn't cost anything for 5 degrees straight out from the box ..

of course for aesthetic look it would be better without the side fan ,,,,
*
still prefer to buy a whole transparent side panel & ask modders to mod it --> blow a 120mm fan hole on the acrylic, nicer & i still able to see my hardware (if i don't use a non-transparent side case fan like aluminum fan biggrin.gif )

but the modding is in da process la, not straight out the box smile.gif

I would prefer to have side fan attached to the case rather the side panel ...

coz the fan cable have to be removed each time removing the side panel. ...

just my cents .. .. .
*
QUOTE(kalakatu @ Jun 17 2007, 02:04 PM)
yup..i second that..
if fan attached to the side panel, it would be troublesome when wanna open it..and need to be careful with the fan's cable..
*
the trick to this is to make a long fan cable biggrin.gif
make it long enough so that when u open ur side panel u can disattach the 3-pin cable easily, if it's too short then it would be a problem la

LOL..I think those are the high end ones..I was wondering is there any budgeted one. Love the color combination in Soldam casing..

Anyway, i have seen from their website, converted the price and its roughly around RM700. Problem is taking it back from there, tax etc...Besides, i dont have that much to spend on a casing. Anywhere around RM500 would be the MAX if i would really want to spend it..
*
LOL... my suggestion is based on local availability, don't think there is any disto bring in it here unless someone willing to buy and post it here laugh.gif
