Looking for a nice, spacious BTX casing. Might be running 2 SLi and PhysX. Able to fit in 6 hard disk spaciously + 2 optical drive. Most importantly, must have good airflow.

Budget max RM1k without PSU. Hope it's not too little.

both are tower casing and around the same price. i'm still at lost at which is better compare to the other...

pls don't tell me lian li is better... i know it's good but i can't get lian li in penang!

so guys, in terms of peformance and price ratio...please enlighten me.
other suggestion of other case are welcome.

Highly suggest that u get a TJ09, it can fit 6 drives, dedicated mid section air duct just for the display cards but it's not BTX tongue.gif

As a previous owner & the first user of that casing in this forum [or maybe in malaysia laugh.gif ] i would say no.

I used that casing for only 3 month, then sell it back.

The reason?
bad airflow + bad thermal performance. sweat.gif

Really!!!!?? That's odd. My friend is using the normal Aurora and the airflow is fine. I thought the internal for both Auroras is similar. sweat.gif

a few month back there's some forum discussing regarding this aurora casing (forgot the name's of the forum sweat.gif ).most of the user not satisfy with the casing for same reason: bad thermal dissipation and airflow is not good at all....

I can't comment much on the 3D aurora 570, but my bro using the original 3D aurora, it has not good ventilation bcoz his graphic card was blowing the hot air towards the HDD, this makes his 3 HDD warm up and the front intake not strong enuf to get it cool sufficiently, but the 2x 120mm exhaust fan does it's job coz with the Zalman CPU cooler, his Pentium D 930 can be cooled to 20C in an airconditioned room, only thing the bottom part of the casing is hot due to the 7800GT blowing all the hot air in.

I think of using the Vizo cooler like the one in Uncle ianho's King Kong II, it should solve some issues with it, or make sure the VGA cooler is blowing the hot air towards the back of the casing.

The main problem about Gaygaybyte 3D Aurora [New model or Old model, it's the same] is about the intake fan.

There's a lot of problem on the intake area.

1) The HDD Bay are facing the sidepanel, which means the direct airflow is blocked by the HDD bay.
2) The HDD bay does have holes in it's wall, but the holes are too small to compare with my LL PC-G7 hdd bay.
3) The airflow is also blocked by the honeycomb as the fan is outside of the honeycomb, not inside. This, creates a turbulence where the air can't go straight into the casing which creates bad airflow.
4) One intake and two exhaust? Bad idea don't you think?

Gaygaybyte should think of a way dealing with this kind of problem.
To those 3D Aurora users, there is a way, you can send your aurora's to ianho and ask him to mod the HDD bay to face the PCI slots so that the airflow could go directly to the GFX and this will result to better airflow. If you want better result, ask the modder to cut a blowhole on that honeycomb, with this, the intake will be much much better as more air can go directly into the casing. To create a better airflow, i suggest putting another 120mm intake blowhole into the casing.
Maybe on the top of the casing?

Just my suggestion though. smile.gif

Still thinking of getting a balanced case (quiet and silent). Have been searching all over the net, and SPCR seems to write the most thorough review about silent computers. However, they 'seemed' a bit biased in their recommendations, or are they not?

Recommendations!

What case should I get?

Ok...need to ask whether you guys on Good Casing and Bad Casing.
My casing is non-branded, chaplang brand, E-Mag, installed with 80mm exhaust fan, when I opened up my casing sidepanel, my system temperature drops 5degree. so, can i assume that this is a bad casing?

So, can I also assume that a good casing with front and exhaust fan will maintain my system temperature, even when I remove the sidepanel?

IMO probably ur case ain't got a good airflow since it just got 80mm fan + psu fan to suck out air. maybe u can mod it to add some intake fan. important thing is to make sure u got the air flowing correctly inside the case. tongue.gif just my opinion..

*
Does your casing has intake fans?
If not, then the exhaust fans is just a waste, plus, it's making your casing have a really really high negative airflow. No intake, but has exhaust. doh.gif

Actually only the exhaust fan is not totally a waste, it managed to reduced some temperature.... I'm just wondering, with a good casing, with good airflow, the temperature of my system will be cooler or the same with the sidepanel taken off?...
because right now, after i took off my side panel, my cpu temp dropped 5C degree!

For me if i take off the side panel, my pc temperature will raise up 3~4 degree.

2 fans ( 9x9cm ) intake and 3 fans ( 12x12cm, pci fan, 9x9cm ) for exhaust.

izit really big difference btw alu and SECC? I remember last time got ppl discuss bout it, full alu just not as heavy as SECC, but the temp wont have any big diff.... But alu can absorb heat more quickly, rite?.... hmm.gif

Btw, any good/bad comment for LL 007? smile.gif

haha becoz rm200 - rm300 chasis kinda uncommon i shud say haha. anyway you could try this few.
gigabyte - Poseidon/Triton(nt recomended)
lian-li - rm298 http://www.lian-li.com/product/product05.p...ex=1&ss_index=4
but farking ugly to me. due to the 25cm fan beside.
Coolermaster - cm5,531,532, comes with side panel look nice. cm elite 330,331 cheaper version of the coolermasters and also look decent. cm Ammo, easier for you to carry around
Thermaltake - matrix(non-alu version), soprano, swing(cost slightly more). i dun like them
HEC6919 - cheapest full tower i shud say rm188, dam heavy.
sunbeam- da transparent case rm225 if nt mistaken.
btw, i think got lots more, i-cute itself already a lot model. check out sum others at modernopc.com. online window shopping there.

For RM300, you should consider yourself a Lian Li PC-007
It's a very good full aluminium chasis.

Official Website:

Much much better than those chapalang SECC chasis.

of course the thing is paying RM500 for SECC steel is a no no compare to Lian Li case that offer much more features...

Of course out of the TT case mentioned .. i would said Armour JR Alu version is the best ... but compare the price against features... still LL case at that range outstanding ..

the call is still up to the buyer ....visit ATE and see for urself ..then only can understand the beauty of KK....

What type of casing?
If you're talking about Lian Li, yes, it is available at Lowyat Plaza.

Find ATE Computers, and feel the love on each of the Lian Li casing.

Lian Li casings doesn't have those fancy schmancy desing like Thermaltake [EEUUWW!!!].
Lian Li design their casings to look smart and more to executive looks. wub.gif

Just wondering, is the difference between the PC-7 and the PC-007 only at the sidepanel? From the look of the front design, it seems there aint much difference. If they are the same, i guess my best choice (if i am going to get this casing) would be getting the PC-7, take out that fugly 24cm fan, and replace it with a normal acrylic...Damn, i am starting to get addicted to LL...lol..

Anyway, just found this out.If any of you needed to know the price of LL casing in ATE, there is an updated price list at hardwarezone malaysia.Try finding it there...

If there's no major changes to the price list i think they update it twice a week ,,, just my sense ... the best way still to visit them and grab the paper price list from they ..

there's no difference for PC-7 and PC-007 in term of internal structure ... my sense ...

Just wondering, how do we know whether a casing is going to fit an ATX mobo or its design to fit the mATX version?

Is the V600 able to fit an ATX mobo?Cause from their website, they state that it will fit P4 mobo and ATX but from ATE's price list, its categorized as mATX..

V600 fits all ATX & m-ATX mobo, ATE price list --> wrong laugh.gif

usually it's kinda hard for the manufacturer itself to state wrong things about their products icon_rolleyes.gif cause posting the product details isn't easy --> going through several process (which if got any error will be detected at any stage)

QUOTE
The ATX (for Advanced Technology Extended) form factor was created by Intel in 1995. It was the first big change in computer case and motherboard design in many years. ATX overtook AT completely as the default form factor for new systems. ATX addressed many of the AT form factor's annoyances that had frustrated system builders. Other standards for smaller boards (including microATX, FlexATX and mini-ITX) usually keep the basic rear layout but reduce the size of the board and the number of expansion slot positions. In 2003, Intel announced the new BTX standard, intended as a replacement for ATX. As of January 2007 the ATX form factor remains the industry standard for do-it-yourselfers; BTX has however made inroads into pre-made systems, being adopted by computer makers like Dell, Gateway, and HP.

The official specifications were released by Intel in 1995, and have been revised numerous times since, the most recent being version 2.2[1], released in 2004.

A full size ATX board is 12" wide by 9.6" deep (305 mm x 244 mm). This allows many ATX form factor chassis to accept microATX boards as well.

more spacing doesn't mean it got nicer air flow, air flow doesn't depends on your casing size, small casing also can have better air flow than bigger casing...

a good air flow determines by how well u managed ur cable inside (so it doesn't restrict air flow) & what type of fan u using nod.gif the fans u using are actually resulting a significant air flow result

if using 100cfm intake & exhaust fan:
--> ur case will have 100 cubic feet of fresh air going inside ur casing every minute
--> ur case will let 100 cubic feet of hot air out of ur casing every minute

Yea, i have this doubt as well. There are some casing that have a cover at the front without any ventilation holes but there is a front intake fan.How do they actually provide the air for intake?Casings like the LL PC-A10 (IINM) have front plate to cover those roms slot etc.

Look at the side of the PC-G7 properly, and you'll see a lot of ventilation holes that lets the air move in.

And on the lower part of the front panel, there's a huge gap that serves as a vent to let the air in. smile.gif

Make it simple.
If a casing can fit ATX, it can fit various types of board from Mini ATX, Micro ATX to Full Size ATX but not extended ATX.

Full size ATX board has 7 slots that consists of mixed PCI-E, PCI, or AGP slot, it depend on your motherboard itself.

Normally all Lian Li casings can fit any types of heatsink fan.
Except for those casings that are made for HTPC setups.

**Extended ATX boards are a very rare occasion.

The easiest way to find out is to give us the model of your motherboard. smile.gif

You don't want that 25CM fan?
Easy.

Take out the sidepanle that comes with the 25CM fan, buy a new arcylic in any advertisement makers shops, cut the new arcylic to the same size of the original arcylic that comes with the LL casing, then put the new arcylic on the sidepanel back, then wallah! laugh.gif

Yea, thats what i had been thinking as well.I dont want that 25cm fan but asking me to cut an acrylic seems sweat.gif ..lol...Maybe i just go ahead and ask people to do it for me..lol..

Actually from ATE's price list, they list down the PC-007 as a version that comes with side panel and a 25cm fan.Does this means that the casing is actually the PC-7?

You're in PJ dude, just send your sidepanel to ianho and get yourself a new sidewindow that doesn't have that fugly fan. laugh.gif

Plus, u can also ask him to make you a sidewindow with a smaller fan either 80mm, 92mm or 120mm. thumbup.gif

Great idea as well.Wondering how much would that cost..Will need to find him later i guess if i really buy that. But need to wait another 1-2 weeks before i could get them.Anyway, is having a side fan recommended?I mean, it makes alot of difference in term of airflow and temperature?

Yes!
You know that the PC-G7 has the sidepanel fan right?
I made the sidepanel fan as intake [originally, it's exhaust] to cool my 8800, and to my surprise, my 8800 were 5 degrees cooler compared to if the sidepanel fan were not there. thumbup.gif

So, it's up to you either you want to put fan there or not, but if i were you, i'd put a blowhole on the sidepanel to blow directly to my GFX. thumbup.gif

Got my Lian-Li PC-V1000B Plus II from ATE LYP yesterday. It was a last demo unit and my earlier intention was a V1200B Pluss II but no stock too. Peripherals were transferred rom CM WaveMaster yesterday and cable management completed today.

Many people have said that the PC-G7 is already out of stock at ATE and they would not restock it as it had discontinued production already.Thats why i turn my attention to the PC-007...

You don't want that 25CM fan?
Easy.

Take out the sidepanle that comes with the 25CM fan, buy a new arcylic in any advertisement makers shops, cut the new arcylic to the same size of the original arcylic that comes with the LL casing, then put the new arcylic on the sidepanel back, then wallah! laugh.gif

Great idea as well.Wondering how much would that cost..Will need to find him later i guess if i really buy that. But need to wait another 1-2 weeks before i could get them.Anyway, is having a side fan recommended?I mean, it makes alot of difference in term of airflow and temperature?

the best thing about Lian Li transparent side panel is that the acrylic is riveted...

it's easy to get it off, wait till u want to put em back --> the acrylic will crack laugh.gif

wanna use screws, fine wait till how fugly it looks laugh.gif

remember my black parade, the transparent side panel should have been riveted, but somehow Ianho couldn't do it, cause the acrylic crack, dunno if he got a new method solving it icon_rolleyes.gif

so Ianho, already found the solution??? brows.gif i bet lotsa ppl gonna send their 007 to replace with a new acrylic

There's other smaller size LL case with good built quality and new features such as A05 and V300 ....

if u don't use too many stuffs these two cases should be able to handle it well enough ... the price wise is slightly over RM 300 and below RM400

I am going to help my friend to get the A05 for his new rig in the upcoming month ..

For that amount of budget of course u could get nice case from CM and Gigabyte ...

the only thing is those are SECC steel cases and have difficulty in managing the cables..... it will take lots of hard work to get the cable management done ..

that's one of the main reason i abandoned my CM530 and become the lover of LL ... it just so close to perfection ...

Is the 007 good for cable management?I am having trouble doing good cable management with my C5 and i would hope that my next casing would be easier..I noticed about the A05 as well but its too small to my liking.I had considered the V600 before but after seeing the casing in ianho's MiniMe, i decided to give it about for the reason of having the PSU almost clashing with the mobo..

hmmm ... 007 has good internal for cable management ... the only weakness is the HDD cage is not easy maintain as compared to G7 ..

u could check out the Lian Li thread for picture of G7 ... then determine urself ...

for me 007 and G7 is one of the easist case in doing nice cable management of course G7 still is the winner with the betrer HDD cage design ...

Even with 007 cable management can be done without sweathing so much ....

or maybe u could grab a HDD cooler than u could just remove the HDD cage...

it also reduce the air flow to the gc area. . . .

Is that the best way? I used Google Earth and it's an estimated 1.76miles from KL Sentral to Lowyat direct route which will be further by foot. What about the Bukit Bintang monorail station? What services does it provide LRT or KTM?

All LL casing is exciting, it doesn't have the "fancy schmancy" design.
All LL casing design is smart and cool, it have the executive look. smile.gif

Hahaha... its a geek thing. tongue.gif

In essence, a case a just a metal box so basically everything works more or less the same.

Exciting in this case means... perhaps more exotic material like aluminum, some non-conventional internal layout or for some folks fancy pancy bling etc... or

Understanding the design of the case in term of air flow and structure as well as component inside is the key of getting the right case ...

always look into air flow issue first ... as u can't go wrong with it ...

The airflow of the HEC 6A34 should be fine I think? It's around RM180, not considered too cheap...

Yah it's good enough for general PC ... as long as not with very hot graphic card ...

the side fan would benefit CPU more ... so no problem for OC the CPU ..

tool less design are very good as well

P180 n P182 are good cases... the build quality is alright and its also very goo for a silent setup.

the biggest flaw of the case is that its a cable management nightmare! so many people have complained about the case being so difficult for cable management.

nope it's for u to bring the cool air into the case and let the rear case fan and PSU fan to take it out ...

of couse u could have it mounted with ur own preference but it wont be that efficient as pulling air into the case for cooling ...

I'm looking for those mini casings using mini ATX one.. Kinda like Shuttle brand. Boxy and looks nice.. Any good recommendations?

From Shuttle brand what model is good and cheap? It comes with Mini ATX, PSU and cooling fan rite?

Other brands got anything similiar, cheaper and better?

Pretty roomy casing but i don't like the ideaof putting HDD below the PSU tongue.gif , it's ok i u have only 1 or 2 hdd but if u have more than that the HDD will overheat(from what i read from review around the web, don'tflame me lol tongue.gif ). It's quite tall as well so make sure u have the space for it, not to mention it looks damn good thumbup.gif , the biggest mobo it can fit is ATX style mobo

Yah but for the price of RM500 .. .hmm it's kind of expensive for such size that does not come with adiditional feature ...

further more cooling solution have to self prepare ...which is very limited to few choices ...

Added on April 16, 2007, 4:41 pmThen A16 will works for the budget range, it has lots of ventilations holes to keep the entire rig cool .... and reallocatable HDD cage ...

or

push up budget up to RM800 to grab V1000 series.

It has side patent fan that can be reversed to breath cool air to the 8800GTX, it help to keep the card cool down by 5c as compared to exhaust hot air out through the side patent fan ...

PCA10 is priced at RM798 from ATE of LYP ...

i owned the case before and not really satisfied with the design..

in the end sell it off and grab V1000A .. .

love it .. so much as much more easier to control the airflow ...

anyone have any comments comparing the cm elite 330/331 with the cm centurion 5. i went to see them last week and feel that the centurion 5 is like more harder as in better quality.

the power button also looks and feels better, unlike the 331 that is kinda loose and cheap. the 330 is not that bad tho. dang, now i gotta raise my budget for a cent 5 again. T_T

Nth as cheap as the promotion G7 ... others are PC7 at RM288 or S07 around RM300 as well...

other cases would cost more .. like V600 and A05 around RM360+..

then follow by RM5++ for the other cases..

I have use the C5 before changing to the LL and i must say that the C5 is very well made. Love it very much but there is a few problems that i encounter :

The filters of the C5 really collects alot of dust. You will need to clean it up very often as you will see a tiny layer of dust after a few days.

Taking off the front panel might be troublesome. This is because you will need to take it out whenever you wanted to clean the front intake fan and take out the Rom. Besides, the pins of the leg are kinda flimsy and you must becareful taking them off. I damages one leg before previously and there is no way you could replace them.

Cable management is extremely tough. No many places for you to hide the cables..

Other than those, i like the C5 very much. For a low price and a good design, especially being tooless as well, it is a very good casing. The built quality is very very good and tough. Anyway, besides white, silver side, and blue side, i also say a fully black (black side) as well at ALL IT the other day when i went to LYP..

I'm very new to this modding. I plan to buy new dekstop pc soon.
As a beginner to modding, which casing suit me?
Just want a simple case with good air flow(front and back fan), transparent side panel, and easy to mod with to become a bling bling case.

My bro using power logic dont know what model... got transparent side panel but very noisy.
Oh ya, normally buy casing come together with psu?
I need recommendation and guides. Thanks in advance.

acutally from the graph.. the rear intake will take cool air in and after passed through the CPU area and rise to the graphic card area and exhaust through the side patent fan.

while the bottom part will be intake for HDD till reach PSU for exhaust ...

The most important thing about using Aluminium casing would be:
Lightweight

Take a sample of two casings that is on the same size, and the material is on the same thickness.
One of them is using SECC material, and one of them is aluminium.

Then compare the weight by yourself.
There you'll see that aluminium cases are either half the weight of the SECC casing and the max would be 70% of the weight of an SECC chasis.

Just my opinion though. smile.gif

main thing light weight aje, 2nd cantik, dat's all for alu case

secc case is toughness on the material, but it's not like we going to play american football with our caseuser posted image

Yea, i agree on this. I could take the PC-7 casing easily with just one hand. But on the other hand, i am suffering when trying to take my older C5 with one hand..lol..

Anyway, wondering would aluminum casing help in terms of providing better airflow/cooler air?Cause i have seen plenty of enclosure which uses aluminum as their material..

doom,

if lightweight is the only reason to go for alu. doesn't that a bit overkill to have an expensive casing? for most of us, moving the casing is to clean the dirt and dust accumulated on a monthly or weekly basis...
if alu can play a major role in lowering the temp of the internals. if it does.. it's only about 1-3 C only right?

yah ..it's only about 3c of difference ... besides cooling the internal structure of the Alu case is always better than steel case ..

doom,

so theoritically not much of a difference between the two besides the minor temp, and the weight. bling-bling factor is up to individual..

i guess i'll consider again of getting a new casing... tongue.gif

Do remember that 1-3 degrees in temperature drop is not something that you should take lightly.

1-3 degrees of temperature drop is very high for me. thumbup.gif

That's why i choose Alu case. wub.gif

Aluminum cases being cooler than steel cases are a myth. That being said, it does feel alot nicer and you feel like you're getting the sort of quality you paid for.

But, steel cases have some advantages too:
1) Cheaper
2) Sturdier. Say what you want, but a steel chassis is less likely to vibrate/resonate/hum than an aluminum one. I hate the way my Lian Li panels can rattle, I had to remedy it with dampening material and velour strips.

sHawTY,

erm...sHawTY can u tell me why 1-3C drop shouldn't be taken lightly?
i'm a noob in pc temp control...

my opinion -> when you compare the heat from ...lets say GC..
say.. idle is 50C with stock HSF, and say... idle 40C with 3party HSF (a drop of 10C),
lets say casing influence.. 37C (a drop of 3C) .. when i compare the drop between those two .. as in HSF and casing.. it's not that significant..
that's my theory by the way.. if i'm dead wrong.. please enlighten me.. hehe

Think, with 1-3 degrees less in temps, don't you think you can overclock your hardwares higher?

Yes you do.

That's why a temp differences of 1-3 degrees is something you should not take lightly. wink.gif

Even if G7 is better but u wont get it from the shop front now days as it's no longer in production. You have to look for other LL case if stick to the brand itself.

else Armour Junior Aluminum version is another good choice as well ...

both are very similar in term of overall design, just that Tsunami come with pure aluminum while only silver Ar Jr comes in aluminum.

Tsunami has more features than Ar Jr but Ar Jr has more ventilation holes for cooling purpose ...

so it's more down to which type of casing u are looking for ... sleek design with door and reduced noise or cool and stylish but a bit noisy case.

For those of you who are experiencing the excitement for shawty's Lian Li bulk, particularly the G7, I've got some bad news for yah, especially for those with tight budgets sad.gif According to him personally, the cost for a G7 will not be the RM198 we saw at ATE due to the fact we all forgot that back then, ATE's price was a 'clear stock promotion', hence the low, low price.

Also, he has mentioned that we should expect the price to be somehow similiar to that of ATE's pricing before the promotion, which was RM298, RM100 more shocking.gif

Anyway, the PC-60 is having a 8cm fan as exhaust right?Others exactly the same like PC-7? (Top - 8cm, Front - 12cm)

Anyway, the PC-60 is having a 8cm fan as exhaust right?Others exactly the same like PC-7? (Top - 8cm, Front - 12cm)
*
I'm not really sure the size of the exhaust fans on the top, and front because frankly speak, I only take a peek at the casing at ATE and right now the casing stilll in the wrapping box sitting in my room waiting for new system to set it up.... laugh.gif

Anybody can recommend me a good looking casing around the price of RM200?it's for my mom's PC.i just want it to look "expensive" rather than some good airflow casing but ordinary design because what women usually want is the "looks" smile.gif

so far my survey:
1. Raidmax Ninja RM220 PC-Zone
2. Powerlogic Atrix 5000T RM160 PC-Zone
3. I-cute casing which is like a jet-engine RM220

Centurion 5 looks cheap tho sweat.gif

get Powerlogic Atrix 5000T, it seems incongruous if u buy Raidmax Ninja or I-cute with jet-engine for ur mom.
another good choice is Centurion 531, planning to buy this case actually.. but suddenly changed my mind to get LL after visit this thread doh.gif

This case is priced at RM499 in All IT and also ATE. It was priced at RM699 during last year's PC fair. I guess this case is not selling and most of the shops are clearing stocks.

I had a chance to "molest" this case during my trip to All IT. The internal construction is quite solid (thick aluminum), but the exterior is mostly made out of plastic. One can easily get a full aluminum lian li case at much lower price. rolleyes.gif

It's not a practical design to have scuh large case from apperance but ended with limited working space within it.

beside with the amount of money paid for it just for the sake of "Asus" brand ?? come on be more realistic ...

of course it's still up to the individual preference but it surely not mine..

no offense just to share the opinion here,,

I think if you want the design, raidmax ninja is not a bad choice and in addition it is much cheaper than the Asus case, although the Ninja is made of SECC and not aluminum.

Well, the LL PC-7S does not original comes with 2 * 12cm fan for the front. Only one. But of course you can mod it or fit in a fan extension on the 5.25" panel...

Basically one could really negotiate with ATE when getting the case with desirable side panel.

So that means that the PC-7S doesn't come with a windowed side panel but you could negotiate them to replace the normal 1 with a windowed 1? How's the price? PC-7S + window price or maybe less because you didnt take the original side panel?

Hi guys, I need help of suggestion a casing with at least 1 12cm intake fan, exhaust role might be taken over by psu with 12cm fan, Low noise will be my main concern.

At least 3 or 4 HDD rack above, 5.25' bay, at least 2 ~ 3? 2.5' bay too. Possible with cover door panel. NO TRANSPARENT SIDE PANEL, Not A BLACK CASING, only alu or piano white please, I hope you guys got what i trying to say here..

I have check out some lian-li case, some were suitable but way out my budget, RM700+, i have not decided on my budget yet, therefore i need a advice which Casing to choose for, no high end video card will be used.

I mean will it be 238 + 150(PC-7S + windowed side panel) or less? Should be less right since you get 2 panels instead of 3(2ori + 1 windowed)?

I think the casing you are looking for is indeed Thermaltake Tsunami Dream, it's:
1. Aluminium
2. Got Front Door
3. Can opt for windowless sidepanel
4. Stylish too.

thanks for the input i am very glad with the suggestion, after some googling and research, i found some other casing which might suit my taste, need some opinion on them.

Lian-Li 767A

Lian-li 101A

PC B20A

Antec P180

i have not check other brand such as gigabyte, asus, silverstone, sunbeam, cooler-master, vantec, zalman etc. Any other casing from those brand which have a nice design which might suit me, you might just realised i like plain simple silver colour casing, multiple easy access hdd tray, and also 120mm IN TAKE FAN.

Thanks for the input rclxms.gif

thanks for the input i am very glad with the suggestion, after some googling and research, i found some other casing which might suit my taste, need some opinion on them.

Any recommendation for casing which are around RM150-200?

Can I get a transparent window with that price? If not, how low can it be?

Guys.. need a little help here choosing a good chasing. I'm going to get my self a 8800GTS soon... and just only realize how long the card is sweat.gif

Longer than my 6800GS. And my 6800GS... almost touch my harddisk drive due to my normal 'decent' size of casing.

So now I need to get myself a new casing that will definitely be long enough to house my 8800GTS without touching the harddisk sweat.gif

And now... I'm putting my budget around RM200 for casing.

Currently Cooler Master Elite 331 and PowerLogic Atrix 5000G has caught my attention. Didn't know the full size of it though as I only look at the picture from the internet.

Between these two casing... which one is a better choice?? And second.. any other recommendation for me?? I'll be glad to accept it smile.gif

Thanks in advance...

NVIDIA 8800GTX "Will It Fit"

But basically, the CM 331 is more than enough to house a 8800GTS wink.gif

Then.. what about owerLogic Atrix 5000G... the LCD temp infront of it looks kinda cool...

Hi guys, currently i have 5 x hdds and 2 x optical drives, it's almost too crowded for my old enlight casing, so im thinking of changing it.

I need something that can fit all those drives while still having maybe one or two spare slots, and most importantly, good sound proofing. I can spend up to 500 if it really worths it.

If it is ok, please tell me where to buy too, thanks~

Unless u go for full tower else it would be hard to store 5 hdds with 2 optical drives in the case without having sound leakage ....

for that amount of budget it's kind of hard .... only goes up to full tower budget could get u the desired case...

go for it, the case can fit:
  1. 5.25" x 5
  2. 3.5" x 2
  3. 3.5" x 6

two things i dislikes bout this case:
  1. Weight = 11kg (case alone --> + psu + 5 hdds + 2 odd, damn heavy for me)
  2. SECC

hmmm the thing is it's not in production anymore of not mistaken ..

so unless anyone could buy from online store from other countries that still keep the stock ... else there's very little chance for the case appear in the store front for now ..

New casing from Zalman.
Make no mistake that this is not the same model with Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 Casing.

This is a different model, not sure about either the design is the same or not.
Take a peek. wink.gif

Not actually right.
The Fatal1ty case is still up & selling. smile.gif

It's just that this new model doesn't have that buggers name anymore. laugh.gif

If you look carefully, you'll see the differences between this casing and the Fatal1ty casing. wink.gif

hmm .GT1000.. a case with very thick construction but not practical. .

especially the dual front intake fans.... although it looks nice but just to much of maintenance hassle in the end of day . . . .

I just get a reply.

QUOTE
Bcoz of the full aluminium design, and then recently they've made this casing a special order unit, and then it's no longer part of their regular items, therefore, they've framed this casing as part of their museum, so, this casing no longer being produced and it'll be expensive. The price of the TJ03 is similar to the TJ07 and 09.

doh.gif

I don't think I can afford that soaring high price. So, any recommendation for full tower aluminium casing? Price should be around 400-500. I want simple looking casing.

Thanks

How much is lian-li pc g7? Vincent just said that he can't get that casing. So, is it possible to get it?

P/S I want a little bit taller casing. around 590mm like TJ03 or perhaps bigger.

EDIT: How about Lian Li PC-A10 Aluminum Case? Do you have any idea ho much does it cost? BTW, where can I check the price for lian lis' casing? And where can I get it?

got a lot of headache recently regarding case... sweat.gif

Well... I wish to make this simpler... so instead of me asking "Is this a good casing" and so on... how about you guys recommend me a good casing instead??

My target is a good airflow casing. Coz I think lately my system is quite hot... and I'm not staying in an aircond room too.

Can you guys recommend me any good casing with good airflow for below RM300??

@Phoenixwunin

That depend on how well the case airflow u are looking for ??

for that budget maybe better just get a case with dual 12cm and do some modding ..

Exactly! Whn u couldnt get somtin' within ur budget, the thing 2 do is modding. Evrythin v discuss in this section revolves around modding.

Often u wont necessarily need spend hugely on casings. Simple ones can b improved by leaps & bounds smile.gif

Tell me... how important is a fan on the side panel of casing?? Should I go and search for one or the normal ones with 120cm in front and rear is enough edy??

it depend on how hot it ur graphic card.... if it's like those crazy monster that consumed 100 watts or more then side fan is definitely a must.. for exp: 8800 series, X1900 series and up..

if it's not too hot and the gc has a decent cooler that could dissipate heat in very short of time... then side fan may not be necessary ..

It would be better to provide cool air in and rely on both exhaust and PSU fan to draw the hot air out ...

RM50 only?Gosh..Is the bundle with CM the Extreme 430/350W one?Or some other more chaplang PSU?

The only one "branded" that are cheap enough so far is the Elite 331/330.Around RM130 but trying to excise my option here if there are plenty more..

for RM100 u definitely can't even get a coolermaster. however, there are a lot of "dunno what brand" casings that are about RM100.

wave.gif, currently looking for nice, good air flow casing, silent, the spec is just like my siggy, with 3 SATA HDD, 2 SATA ODD, X1900XT fitted with HR-03, CPU Cooler is HR-01 (coming soon)...

Budget : RM450 ~ RM550 (Max)
Casing criteria : preferably full tower, full aluminium if possible, i want it sleek design, more "straight forward" (not to fancy though)...

i'm eyeing the Lian Li PC-A71 - i think it's too pricey and still not avail in Malaysia, or how about this - Lian Li PC-201A?

other brand like Silverstone and CoolerMaster (Stacker 810 only tongue.gif) i might be interested too...
