Guys, if the casing spec stated:

Material: Aluminum bezel, SECC chassis

does it mean the casing is aluminium?

it means the bezel is only alu... aka the front panel is aluminium.

the casing itself is SECC

guys... need help again here tongue.gif

I've finally managed to narrow down my choices to:

Silverstone Temjin 08
&
Lian-Li PC7S

Now between these two.. please advice which one shud I take..

If mobo and gc should be taken into consideration.. then my mobo is Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 and my gc might be GeForce 8800GTX or HD2900XT.

I'm looking for super good air-flow/cooling solution.

What's wrong with m-ATX? I think it's a great form factor. Not everybody need big towers for extreme overclocking, water cooling etc and I'm sure 95% of the population won't have more than 2 expansion card.

I dont mean M-ATX is bad. It is good in some ways but for me, i rather get those ATX form factor. As for one, i have more than 1 PCI card which makes me kinda hard to choose MATX..Anyway, as i said, if i am going to setup those HTPC, i am surely going to get those MATX form factor..

it's good that u narrow down to 2 brands, now tell us As Much As Possible bout ur taste for casing brows.gif

example: do u prefer casing with doors?

btw, here's a Lian Li price list, check out which model is RM400 and below... then surf through Lian Li web site for more details icon_rolleyes.gif

main advantage of the P180 would be the sound dampening on the panels...

but id rather go for the PC7S...easier for cable management. and sound dampening can always be done with cheap sound dampening material from car audio shops.

plus i hate cases with doors tongue.gif

Cases with doors will eventually wear out and becomes loose over a period of time, unless it's built with the highest quality.

@mADmAN,
if i wan to get those dampening material from car audio shops, how do i describe the thing? is there a name or a brand i can mention?

no need to mention name or brands...coz usually the ones got brand friggin expensive (eg. "Dynamat")

just tell them u wanna buy the sound proofing material..its usually in the form of a black sponge sheet.

check out uglyvamp's case mod threads. he usually uses them...mostly on the casing floors

Lian Li PC-A05 .. .small size yet able to fit in enough component for normal PC ..

unless u are using many roms and hdds.. else this is one of the best small ATX sized case ....

PC-7s for lightweight and better cable management .... unless u are really obsessive about silent proof case .. else PC-7s a is better choice.
