QUOTE(DeMoNkInG @ Jun 30 2008, 08:49 PM) yup.. ac ryan.. teach me pls.. pls.. easy one bro Added on June 30, 2008, 9:35 pmmildlo teacher.. why suddenly off.. need guideline here.. hiks 1.all u need some led(how much u want to change the led) buy from forumer very cheap one(got blue, green,uv purple and white) at bulk order 2.remove the led that already faulty by open the white glue which is together with led(easy, just try peel the glue, easy remove). 3.attach the new led to the hole of led at fan casing.(remember the led leg(positive + and negative -) i 4.cut the faulty led leg, dont cut the wire, the wire will become short,if this happen, try solder/"lilit" another wire to connect it.(i use to cut the faulty led leg,so the wire become a bit longer and can solder or lilit it to the new led 5.connect the wire to the new led with the same connection with the old led(faulty one),careful check the same leg led to connect it. 6.this the picture : 7. carefully check it before u solder it or just like me,"lilit" it coz maybe other day want to change to a new Led 8. glue it with the hot glue (like the original one,can find the glue and the glue gun at RM2 store or buy from forumer) wait the glue to dry. 9.After above procedure done, connect to power,3 pin or molex power. 10.Done This post has been edited by MildLO: Jun 30 2008, 10:33 PM |

U are a life saver! u r welcome Added on June 30, 2008, 11:28 pma question bro, the wire got two colour, red and white.. red is + or -? just look at the faulty led leg which color wire it use,use the same leg for the same color. u need look at this picture : ![]() i mean like this picture,u can see that i curcle that positive leg,if the red wire originally attach to positive leg before u remove the wire from the faulty led, just use it for the positive led leg of new led with same red wire for positive. u can see it clearly at the led, which is positive and negative |

Does resistor is needed necessarily? coz i remove my icute led tube and put in my another casing. seems like the LEDs doesnt need resistors( direct power from molex) or am i wrong?

But whats the usage of resistor? think it might reduce the led brightness? or reduce current flow like a transformer.Added on July 4, 2008, 6:35 pmHalo,i alreday back form kedai elektronik, they told me that that resistor can put either positive+ or negative- at LED,can use the yellow wire molex and black wire one |

QUOTE(chyu89 @ Jul 4 2008, 07:31 PM) But whats the usage of resistor? think it might reduce the led brightness? or reduce current flow like a transformer. a resistor limits the amount of current going in... An LED usually only needs 0.22mA.. overcurrent makes it run brighter and burns out faster...This post has been edited by IcEMoCHa: Jul 4 2008, 09:05 PM |
