it seems like all charity threads just died off like that, without any proper updates and so on.

anyway, i had done my part by donating certain monetary and items donations on monday

hopefully more and more charity programs will come up, but of course with more proper info.

Dear friends, Kechara Soup Kitchen now has a permanent building in the heart of KL City.

KSK building is open from Monday - Friday from 11am to 1pm for the homeless to have their lunch, wash their clothings as well as to get medical attention or counselling there.

On Saturday starting from 9.30PM, volunteers will swamp the building in preparation for the 'Midnight Rounds' where volunteers will separate into various groups to hand out food to the homeless or what we call as our clients.

New volunteers will have to go through a short briefing by the Project Directors either Justin Cheah or Siong Woan at 8PM on the same day. Their contact information are at the top of this post.

I myself am a volunteer for KSK and until today, I would still say it is really an eye-opener as well as a very good experience. Do join us!

Folks,

I have visited them few weeks ago and these are some of the items that Kechara Soup Kitchen needs urgently:

1. Biscuits (pre-packed preferred)
2. Tiger Balm
3. Mosquito Coils
4. Clothes (male preferred because most of the homeless friends are males)

BTW, they have this cool black colour t-shirts, selling at RM 38/each/man & baby tee sizes - I have attached mine for you to have a look at the design.

contact Justin (I think you can find his details in one of the earlier postings for more up-to-date information.

Me and my friend are interested to join as a volunteer for the "Midnight Rounds" but the problem is we don't have any own transport.. So i'm just wondering what time do it end usually? coz we have to depend to the public transport to get back home which close at 11pm..

Thanks alot.
