QUOTE(Ice 9 @ Oct 19 2010, 11:08 AM) bros, thanks for the kind words Sounds like we're in the same camp! What bands you're heavily into? I'm more into stoner/post/prog rock these days. Actually right now Im gassing so bad for a fuzz face after just selling one months ago, because of that damn echoes solo in the pompeii vids. once i plucked 1 note. whammied it. then turn on 3 delay pedals, each on full oscillation. my brain melted. dont think that would be suitable for "live" situation hahaha! yup the whammy does get in the way. i need to reposition it. the FF has so many crazy oscillations. i rarely use it as a normal fuzz. BTW how's the ooh wah and timefactor? Where do you get your stuff? This post has been edited by quarantined: Oct 19 2010, 11:56 AM |

^True, I first got into PF because of their later stuff (DSOTM, wish you were here, the wall) but lately more into their earlier psychedelic stuff. David Gilmour (and the whole band actually) has some really good knowledge of using effects to their advantage, not purely for show (usually
Man I have been listening to all these great new age progs/stoners (The Sword, Samsara Blues Experiment, Bison BC, Kvelertak, Solstafir..) and gotta say the future for progs are very interesting! Also have been listening to Camel as well. Ice9, if you wanna sell the timefactor do tell! |

QUOTE(Ice 9 @ Oct 20 2010, 08:46 PM) wow those band names quite ganas. are they new rock bands? im outdated on rock music. for rock, i just listen to da oldies and classics like floyd, zep, cream, sabbath, oyster cult, dio, crimson, hawkwind, etc...even tho my era is actually 90s grunge era haha... my favorite is sabbath, especially first 4 albums. and floyd for sure MEMORY LANE! hahah ok i surrender.. I just want my DD7 enough already time factor ya? sure thing bro. once i can find + afford a memory lane 2 to replace it Crank the volume..take a listen! i think they are largely Sabbath and Floyds-influenced. Will try and dig the classics you mention... QUOTE(xnobys @ Jan 22 2011, 12:42 PM) It has been a while since the last time I've uploaded photo of my rig... okok.. sell your Boogie to me and keep your Line 6 lah.. ![]() ...and I still maintained that tube amps are overrated! Nice photo by the way. The SX looks like a million bucks.. curious though. How did you get the gold plating to stay that way? |

QUOTE(sovtek @ Mar 5 2012, 02:24 PM) That cab used to be an Altec Lansing HiFi unit with the driver/tweeters and internal padding removed. You DIY the cab? How do you like the 12" with the champ?Just install some rubber feet and you're good to go. The Trainwreck clone in the back was from Nik at Ceriatone. Way too much hiss when I first got it, the only easy fix was to mess around with the preamp section. Best sounding (so far) with minimal hiss: V1>5751(GE) V2>12at7(Toshiba) V3>12av7(Philco) Hahha seem like you have some nice amps... what's your most liked one? |
