QUOTE(luminity @ Jan 18 2010, 09:58 PM) System engineer gets the best of both worlds. But then again, it depends on your company and the projects and client deals they manage to acquire. I would probably say somewhere ranging from 1.6k - 2.5k. I would say probably slightly above 2k if you have CCNA. Can disclose what professional certificate that you possess ?Do we really need professional certificate ??I planning to do all of the Technical Certificate ,is this realiable for the future ?Scope of work? It was everything under the sun for me back then. Doing installation, troubleshooting of IT equipment, preventive maintenance and occasional outstation projects every now and then. It was a good experience though. Started off with the usual desktop installation, troubleshooting, auditing and moved up to more complex stuff like server administration (AD, Exchange) and network security (routers, switches, firewalls). IMO, it's always better to specialize after a few years depending on your interest. E.g for Network (AVAYA, Cisco, Nortel, Juniper), SAN (Brocade, EMC), Systems (Microsoft, Linux, Unix) since a specialist's salary will usually always be higher and more in demand in the market. All the best in your career! |
