Hi,

I just got offer to work as System Engineer there without any certificate (Diploma or Degree) but they give me test to test whether I got what it take and I pass but the salary is acceptable as I am without any certificate.

I just wanted to know what type Certificate should I attend to upgrade my qualification and get better job advancement?

My interest more on Network rather than programming.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm working in IT fields for almost 2 years. And I do have the same thought as you guys that learning cannot be stopped. So I planned to get courses to improve for my job achievements. I'm targetting at Programmer or Network. I saw the CCNA is not bad. Has anyone got any other recommendation cert for me to take? I'm interested in Java and DB.

If I would like applied those courses, do you guys know where i can apply those exam/course from? Cause I saw my sis, they apply exam through online, so i'm wondering whether the IT certs are also apply through online?

CCNA + MCSE/MCITP + CEH + OWSE + Redhat Linux should be good enough for junior System Admin/Network Engineer.

It is quite demotivation when Microsoft Certification gonna have an inactives date starting from June 2011 ... it is not decertification, but the end of Microsoft supporting the product through the market ... but still in the eyes of HR, they gonna assume the certification is retired sad.gif

Hi guys, did anyone of you know what is the salary rate pay for a Network Engineer in Malaysia ?

I checked in job-street salary report for this position, its stated that normal salary was fresh entry (RM 2250), Junior (RM 2800) and Senior (RM 4000).

If let say i have 2.5 years working experience as a Network Engineer in my current company (support). I have Bachelor Degree in computer science, CCNA, CCNP and one Cisco IP Telephony cert. What is the normal paid for a Network Engineer ?

Is 2.5 years experience is still consider a Junior Executive level ?
