I asked him the price for Gibson Lp Classic , Gibson Lp Studio ,and ESP Eclipse 1 Ctm and He gave me the price all those guitars.. The gibson Lp classic Us$900 (Rm2927) , Lp studio $840 (Rm2732) and ESP us$940 (Rm3058). I said im interested with the esp because the price is quite cheap if we compare the price in Malaysia. and suddenly He explained all about the Transaction ... he told me it was easy and fun to buy from worldwide.. . THis guy used UPS Express system and the item/package will be delivered at your doorstep. short story this guy actually the sales manager in Usa and the company is in USA , NIgeria and Uk as the headquarter company.. and because im livin in malaysia the item will be sent from nigeria.. i just said ok...but i was asking him why must nigeria.. and he said because its nearer to my country. Actually yesterday i was just asking the price but the conversation he made was making me to buy his item immediately... he searched and helped me to find the western union service agent around my place.. he asked my Name,address, and phone number. I got his number ( +23 470 279 551 95) and (+23 470 387 306 14). i tried to trace these phone number if all this number are correct,, and its actually correct. and you guys know what...?? we were talking about iphone too that he actually convinced me to buy an iphone 8gb @225.. short story i was agreed to take the iphone and the total cost is US1165 and i asked him to make it $1100... he said ok.. the payment that we dealt was , im gonna pay him the 50% of the total. and he will confirm the shipment and after one hour he got the tracking number, AWB and will sent it to me...after he sent the tracking number i will pay the remaning fees and i said ok.. and we confirm to make the deal.. but inside my heart tells me, why this guy so fast just in one day make the transaction with me... haahaa.. so i was thinking and thinking and i didnt feel ok last night and tried to msg him through YM ans MSN , i said i canceled all the deals because i felt that this guy is not acceptable for me.. hahaha thats the story guys.. i dont know if he is true or not but im just want you guys to be more aware to something like this CHEERS!!

I think its better you ask for detailed pictures first. Lots of frauds this days.

unless the seller has a good reputation among your friends ( at least 5 friends )
plus , always try to make sure the seller is expose

-real picture
-real name

pedals / pickups are not too bad since the amount isn't big ..

50% of a guitar is already 4 digits ...what if the guitar comes with ding , or it was stolen or what ..

do not get too driven by price ...price driven customers are easy scam targets..

2. For online transaction , never pay through western Union . always Request for Paypal .or anything that links to a credit card .
Western Union agents don't even give a damn about the person who is receiving the money. all they ask is I.d and you are good to go
If anything happens , for paypal/credit cards . you can lodge a report and get part of your money back

yeap bro Gapnap.. you are very right... hehehee... hopefully all the guitarists be more aware for something like this.. and im very happy with my decision... eventhough this guy keep calling me... luckily i have some program to block someone phone's number ...

i think its a scam also. cause i seen this guy also posting at MMU forums. trying to cheat students maybe.

i am very tempted to meet the seller if hes in malaysia so i can extort him

i think i see this story before at kopitiam. last year's thread if i remember correctly.

anyway, if this happen recently, guess he is a long time scammer.

1) Nigeria
2) Western Union
3) The price of the guitar is nearly half than market price for a new set guitar

I say just forget about it. It's a classic 419 Scam

Let me share a true story with u:
I hav a fren who dealt with someone selling some stuff.My fren bank in (stupid move)the amount,the next thing,the seller cabut lari lor.No way to contact him.

The next person who tells u to pay 1st, then only send stuff is definitely a no-no in my list.Can't trust anyone when there's so many jokers around.So better to be safe than sorry...

3rd party middleman la.
seller send the guitar to me.
buyer send the cash to me.

then i run away.

Like wat u said earlier,use PAYPAL or strictly COD only.
I won't settle 4 anythin else..just my 2 cents
